Fair enough. Most of the picture is still in the planning phase, and I'm trying to decide on a color composition. I did put some specifics into the skin, in the meantime. If you look at the skin of the neck and how it drops off where the Phanca starts, that was my placeholder / proof of concept of conveying a layer of skin over the mechanical bits.

Granted, I didn't reduce the size of the Phanca at all, and I made the skin drop-off kind of thick. Conceptually, the underlying mechanics of an android would be smaller than the overall shape, to allow for the thickness of the skin while maintaining the size of the body.

Small detail, and it is an inconsistency, yes.
