WTF.

Can't even play EVE anymore. Client crashes within 5 minutes of play time and continues all {snip} day. Have no problems playing other online games non stop so it aint my ISP. Ever since the last patch my **** has been all screwed up.

Please don't make me play WOW or WOT all day CCP.

I used to have this problem when I had a 10mb connection. I upgraded and the problem was fixed.

May I direct you to this thread?

I didn't think it was my ISP at first, either.
It was.

What was helpful for me was pingplotting the route to Tranquillity and watching the packet loss, which was partly about 80% in my case.

Did you try continuous ping or traceroute?

If you are the only one complaining, it's pretty certain that it has to do with your ISP or your routing. Crying on the forum won't change that.

Even if it is caused by our ISP. its happening to so many people that eve is to blame and should fix it. I play all my other online games with out disconnect's. The dev's should fix the problem thier end.

Mine started doing this for a week or so. Turned out that it was a program running in the background. Something to do with LOTRO. I uninstalled the program and it works fine now.

Then why not post in that thread that deals with your exact problem over 30 pages, but post a new one in GD?

Is it because you are special?

Exactly.

I am crying in the forums because i have 1 toon that has been playing since Eve first started and several that are over 5 yrs old.

This has never happened before and all other dramas i have sorted out in due course. This is a major problem that needs to be fixed or you will lose your old player base that is self sufficient and has no need to buy GTC'S etc.

Oh, maybe that is your plan all along. You sneaky Bastards.Roll

Okay, I'm going to bite on this one:

What exactly do you expect CCP to do?
Say there is some kind of hangup between your router and the first splitter owned by your local ISP.

Do you need some dev to call your ISP and tell them your problem?
Or should they fly out and revamp your ISPs infrastructure alltogether?

I do not want to sound arrogant or whatever, but what do you want them to do?
Even if it is caused by something in the game (which I doubt), shoudn't everyone be affected?

I am saying this because, when I had this issue, I was at first 100% certain the problem was with EVE, I had some pleasant conversations and technical help via the petitioning system and finally found out the problem was between 2 of the ISPs routers.

They refused to fix it, so I switched to a cable based ISP and never had any disconnect since.

P.S.: I also could play every other game just fine (except BFBC2, which was more or less the same in regards to disconnects) and I even had my full DL speed.

Fix what exactly? It isn't happening to many people because there is a specific problem CCP just refuses to fix. It's happening because it's a generic error message, that can be caused by almost anything. It basicly just means there was an issue with the connection. On it's own it's useless and doesn't tell you anything what could be causing the issue in any individul case.

Exactly. I even get the error message twice like even that is bugged. Fix it.

I mostly play on truly rubbish hotel connections - the twin messages on loss of connection has been normal for a long time.

30 page? Try 2 pages.

Your basic understanding of numbers and attitude presented when people are trying to help you speaks volumes.

Good luck with your internets.

best part is when you're running alts and only one DCs. Though that's more when stupid crazy happens (e.g. someone jumping instead of bridging) and the destination system happens to be on the same node as said alt...

although, lately I've been getting them a lot ... also general **** connection to the internet. In my case, I know it's the router; but I'm not buying a new one til this one absolutely dies (old V1 series WRT54G, before they got the sleek black look to them).

Fix what ever is causing the problem. I have no issues with any other games my internet works fine. So even if the problem is being caused by my ISP- eve devs should fix the way their game is interacting with my ISP.

If my pc and isp can can run any other game the problem lies with EVE, simple as that.
