I kind of hope not. If too much of the "omni bonus" (for lack of better term) design is let slip in the whole diversity factor between hulls and races goes right out the window. The current meta game not withstanding, I would imagine that in a short period of time a set of boring doctrines would emerge and that would be the end of what little creativity there is left.


The Gnosis doesn't push out the Brutix, nor the myrmidion, nor ... any BC.

I don't see a problem with a jack-of-all-trades, master of none type boat. Right now while ships aren't homogenous, the fits for them are fairly homogenous.

A omni bonus ship that is not OPd (as the Gnosis is not, I think its capacitor and speed are too underpowered, IMO), adds a great deal of diversity to the game. It also will serve to provide a level field for judging the balance of various modules/tank types/ weapon types.

I'm hoping this is an experiment for developing a ship type that CCP will release in the future. Keep the Gnosii as irreplaceable special edition ships, but hopefully similar SOCT faction ship, obtainable in the normal way faction ships are obtained, will be available (through BPCs, or ship exchange [ie tristan+ chip or isk and LP for Fed Navy comet], not BPOs)

Eventually, I'd like to see BPCs seeded in an odd way. Either make a new epic arc for SoCT involving wormhole/nul exploration and such. Make part of the final reward be a 2 run bpc, or seed it as a rare loot drop in high end sleeper hacking/archeology sites.

Basically, keep it relatively rare, but don't limit it so much we never see them flown in a years time.
