So.. I saw the pod sequence on YouTube and is this final? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6sbVgqejD00

When our pod gets incinerated by huge spaceship pew-pew, we see a naked grey plastic mannequin floating where our pod used to be? Being podded should destroy everything.

Am I the only one who hates this sequence? I'd much rather a cool explosion and just have the camera slowly pull back from the scene, perhaps some floating debris.

To be honest, yeah, we could use some floating debris, if only from our perspective for lag concerns. I tried overlaying the basic rogue drone wreck over the corpse and it looked much, much better.

Also, the Activating Clone text needs to be bigger.

Reykjavik art department, we be producing corpses aaaaaall day long.

Please remodel blackbird hull instead. And some others.

Typhoon model.

Please.

Derailing the thread. But yes, oh god yes. Especially the Moa hull. Please give it the Scorpion treatment. Oh, God.
Blackbird and Typhoon could become much better with a little tweaking but the Moa is ugly to the point of I don't even know what to do with it... The Osprey is ugly, but it's eerily fitting of a logistics cruiser...

You know, that explains so much about so many things...

The "clone grade alpha, upgrade needed" in the lower left was a bit confusing, since I knew I was going into an omicron-grade clone. I get that it's there to remind people to re-upgrade after getting podded, but it could maybe be phrased a bit better to make that obvious.

Oh, heh, I forgot this in the main feedback thread, but seeing "Clone Grade Alpha: Upgrade Required" *did* give me a brief panic as I wondered if I'd forgotten to activate. It might be worth putting the clone grade which is being activated in smaller type above that so people don't worry too much.

I would like to see the text display your current clone grade upon death, this way you know by the UPGRADE NEEDED message you need to, and displaying the grade allows quick reference for what type to upgrade to :)

Seconded. I was wondering if I had forgot to upgrade my clone as well.

it's not so much the temperature--it's the vacuum!

Vacuum isolates pretty good, actually. You'd loose body warmth/fluids on a very slow rate in deep space... you would have suffocated, be fried by radiation or shredded to peices by micro particles long before you'd even begin to freeze to death.

Actually your exterior dermis would freeze instantly due to the instant vaporization of the outer layers of pod goo clinging yo you. Besides that, yeah, your core stays warm and mushy. Which is why the blood raiders are pretty chillax about picking u corpses in space. they got all the time in the world.

Being podded has never destroyed everything. Your frozen corpse is always left behind and that's what you see floating.

Wait, a naked plastic mannequin is always left behind when we get podded?? How is this logical??? I guess this is something I never noticed, but it doesn't mean that it shouldn't be removed because it's completely ridiculous. I always thought the mannequin looked terrible in cutscenes, I would hate to see it used every time we get podded.

Just replace with a kickass 'splosion and debris. Perhaps some DNA can be left behind, but the grey plastic un-exploded body is pretty lame.
