Bounties And Horse Manure Are Really The Same Thing?

Two of my 14 characters have recently had bounties placed on them. Why?

They have never heard of the people who placed the bounties. They don't leave Hi Sec. They don't talk or listen to anyone.

Personally, I think the bounty system is a good reason to quit the game.

Thank you, CCP. Sorry to tell you this, but committing suicide should be done quickly. NOT the way you have decided to do it.

What does it matter, if you have a bounty or not? If you wanted to have a larger one though, making this thread was the correct move.

Bounties are meaningless.

I have a bounty. Most of my characters have bounties, even the ones that never undock.

Don't worry about it.

For the eleventith time:

- Bounties don't change any of the aggression rules for anyone.

- Even if you don't talk to anyone you are still interacting with others in some way. Maybe you are taking up precious research or manufacturing slots that someone else wants. Maybe you mined out a belt that someone else wanted a piece of.

- "Good" and "bad" are relative. You might see yourself as perfectly innocent and having done nothing wrong... meanwhile your "competition" (see: other miners, industrialists, mission runners, etc) thinks you are the devil.

- Some people just want to see other people burn... for no reason. After all... this is just a game.

Well, if you want to get rid of those bounties, there are three ways:

- fight until your losses match the bounty (PvPr's way)
- use an alt/friend to duel yourself and lose the needed amount (carebears' way)
- unsub until the bounties are reimbursed (but bear in mind that the exact time it will take is a secret)

Or you can just ignore the bounties. Cool

Bounties really don't matter. I've played close to 300 bounties, almost all randomly on people like yourself, just for the sake of doing so, including some on my friends, and corp mates. It's insignificant. At the least, it lets you know when that person has died, and at worst, it -might- cause enemies to prioritize attacking you over your friends.

However, I have a 200mil bounty, I guess it's 184 now or something, and I haven't experienced being primaried any more so than I'm used to, with an A name.

Get over it, it really means nothing. (bounties)

If you don't have a bounty then you stand out from the crowd.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Some idiot I never seen or been spoken to put a Bounty on me , and I'm not interested of being a public punching bag or PvP chase, just in this game for some fun, exploration and mining, so just ended my sub, bye all and have fun.

I just put bounties on people for being scammers, rude, or for sexually harassing my alt.

Also, if you want to clear it, I'm sure your nearest lowsec system would be happy to help you with that.

Bounties don't change any rules of aggression. The game for you is exactly the same as it was before the bounty. So the question remains, how does having a bounty influence your game in any negative way?

Two of your 14, that surprises me, would have thought all 14 would have had bounties unless you don't use the other 12.

Yep, as others have said bounties are meaningless, CCP in their wisdom introduced the system without fully engaging their think tank.

Wear your bounty like a badge of honor. It is really not that big a deal.

Anyone remember about eight months ago when CCP announced the bounty and kill right changes and how the bears were all super-happy that they'd finally be able to take revenge on the mean gankers, et cetera? And how we told them what would actually happen, like we did before any other changes that were meant to benefit them, like CONCORD/ganking stuff?

I do, lol.

I wrote some true EVE stories! And no, they're not of the generic "my 0.0 alliance had lots of 0.0 fleets and took a lot of 0.0 space" sort. Check them out here:
