I cannot seem to find any information about the ETA for banned account petitions. Can anyone offer some insight? I'm going a bit nuts here :(

When my account was banned, I think I had to wait about 4 or 5 days to get it fixed.

Thank you for responding. I hope it doesn't take that long for mine, but I suppose it's a small time frame compared to some of the stuff I read in prior forum posts. I was really looking for current information as those posts were from 2011.

Actually, it took more than 4 days. I was reimbursed 4 days, because that's how much SP I lost after my skill queue ended and I couldn't log in to change it.

I had a petition in that category that took over 2 months to get answered, but that was due to an human error and should not happen again. Recently someone posted on the forum who got banned for RMT after he bought a character and had a response in 3 days.

So it can be processed fairly quickly if it's a clear case. If it's more complicated, it can take longer.

I haven't done any of that or any kind of botting. I hope it doesn't take two months. The thought of that makes me want to cry.

depends on what you did to get banned.

Quote:

1st strike for botting is a 30 day ban
2nd strike for botting is a permanent ban
Any client modification is a permanent ban on first offense
Any involvement in RMT is a permanent ban on first offense

Okay, I don't know how to do any of those things, lol. Trust me, I can barely fit my own ships. That's what my husband is for, lol!

you *should* have gotten an e-mail to the email address you have associated to your account, explaining what they did.

Or at least I seem to recall getting one when I got forum-banned for a week for telling a carebear to HTFU (also, CCP PrismX, it's now my goal to get your pod Cool)

Unfortunately, I did not get an email. I checked my spam folder as well.

When my account was hacked and Banned as a result i received a reply the same day that i noticed, however it too three of four days of communication to get the account reinstated.

But as people have said i suppose it depends on what you were banned for, i was banned by CCP to protect the account, if you've been doing something you shouldn't you're probably looking at a longer ban

Maybe the email got sent to one of your husband's accounts. They ban accounts associated with the offending IP, that's why I ended up being banned before. I hadn't really done anything wrong except one small thing which ended up with me being blamed for something much worse but it all got cleared up in the end.

If it's a false positive it shouldn't take too long to clear up. Best of luck getting to the bottom of this.

Just to help clarify, the email would have been sent to the email account that is associated with that account. Just make sure that the email account associated with that particular EvE account is not one that you no longer use.

No, I know for a fact that the email associated with the account is the one I'm checking. I had another petition a week ago about something else and the responses were sent to that email.

Thank you for trying to help though :-)
