Thanks for your efforts, they have paid off well in providing us OSX users with a viable tool to manage ourselves while not in Eve.

Loving Vitality, great way to keep stuff organised.

Something I can't find, or I don't know if it's a feature to be implemented, is an EvEMon-style "insert remap" into a skillplan, and also an auto-optimise for my stats and my skillplan. I've put in a skillplan where I want to remap halfway through and it would be very handy to be able to see updated times for after the remap.

Thanks!

I've never used EvEMon, but I'll add your idea as an issue in Github.

By the way, anyone who wants to contribute can create an account on Github and have a look at the project there. That includes all of the 'issues' (bug reports, new features, etc) that we currently have.

So lately (started before mavericks, not sure when exactly) I've been getting timer problems like this:
http://i.imgur.com/ezf0ZWQ.png
(In reality, there was about a day or so left on the train.)

Hitting the "reload" button doesn't do anything, even deleting the api key and recreating the character won't fix it, the only way to fix it is to queue a different skill.

If this is on a new character, do you have one of the training boost implants installed?

It's a several year old character.

Ok, then. The next time it happens, can you open Console.app (in /Application/Utilities) and copy everything you see that's related to Vitality and mail it to me, in game, I'd say? Don't post it publicly because your API key will be in there. Or you can delete all of the key related stuff which will look something like this: ?keyID=[numbers]&vCode=[numbers and letters]. With your API key id and code where the "[…]" bits are.

Probably the easiest way to get just the Vitality related stuff from Console is to "Show Log List" if the side bar on the left isn't showing. Then make sure that "All Messages" is selected in the log list. Then type Vitality in the "String Matching" field in the top right of the window. You can then select a bunch of the most recent entries and copy/paste them.

Thanks!

OK, so this morning I've got Recon Ships III "stuck" on my alt, it's finished training but it won't leave the queue even with reloading.

Thanks for the logs. Unfortunately I don't see any error messages in there, and nothing else that hits at a cause.

I'll keep looking through the code and see if there are places I can add better debug output.

Right.

One other thing I noticed is that really, really long date/time strings can overlap with the "time remaining" strings above the time remaining bar. Here's an example of where it would overlap if I'd taken a shot yesterday: http://i.imgur.com/gTPO8eP.png

I'm not sure if this was a font change with Mavericks or not.

Just discovered this app. I used to use Mac Eve Tools, but now mostly use Neocom and Dusk. Thanks for doing this one - Now I can actually do skill planning without my iPad! Big smile

One thing I've noticed: there doesn't seem to be a way to import a skill plan from some other app, like Dusk. Of course, Neocom doesn't seem to have an export option, so that's annoying. Still, Dusk to Vitality would be useful (or the other way, Vitality to Dusk, or to Neocom).

Should I put a feature request in github?

You can import EVEMon skill plans. Go to the Skill Planner Overview and click on the gear icon on the right hand side of the window. When you are looking at a particular skill plan that gear icon offers a couple of export options.

Sounds like importing and exporting probably menu items on the menu bar.

I hadn't heard of Dusk, but if it can't export EVEMon format, I can have a look and see about supporting it directly.

I definitely encourage people to have a look at the github site, especially the Issues tab, and see what we already have there and/or add your own ideas or bug reports.

Currently working on Rubicon support, but with the large changes to the certificate system it may take me a while.

Hi

would love to use the application but it crashes on start.

I got Macbook Air (early 2011), 1.7 GHz, 4 GB RAM, Intel HD 3000, Maverics OS X 10.9 (13A603).

Would be great if you could have a look on that case.

Let me know if you need the crash log and where to send it.

Cheers

Just did the switch from Mac Eve Tools to Vitality. I ran into a problem with the API not giving the right accesses, so I had to reset the API. The only way I found that out is by tailing out /var/logs/system.log. The client needs to capture this error and display it to the user...for those who aren't comfortable around Console.

Otherwise, great resource. Keep it up.

Corpmate just pointed me to this app after his MET stopped working. Thank you very much for loving the OSX crowd! Like Galen above, I mostly use Neocom and Dusk (both on iPhone / iPad), this is nice for those days I'm sitting at the computer and to be able to create multiple theoretical plans. /me does a little dance

Keep getting an error when I try to open it saying. "Can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer."

We will probably need a crash log. You can mail it to me in game if you want it kept private, otherwise post it somewhere and link to it here. Or, if you have or make a github account you can attach it to a new issue at https://github.com/sixones/vitality/issues.

I love love love Vitality, but I am not a big fan of the app icon so I took a stab at creating a new one that follows the 10.9 aesthetics, I hope it is to your liking. I would give an ISK donation in gratitude for such a useful tool, but I am poor in game at the moment Sad so hopefully my talents will suffice as thanks.
