Wouldn't it be quite easy to maintain such release? Hardware stays at same, all clients would use same hardware.

We can plug in kb and mouse in both console platforms, we have big screens for our consoles.

Man, eve might be real nice in console!

Has CCP ever though about invading PS3 and Xbox360?

I'd totally :) Standardized hardware also (usually) means better quality/stability due to better testability.
Would be an interesting thing. But I doubt we're gonna have it for like... ever. Porting to console would be harder than having the Mac version. And we know what kinda trouble this yields...

Manual flying my ship with an Xbox control would be fun, well for frigs at least. But, CCP would first have to fix to UI to work with a console controller, hell, CCP should fix the PC versions UI before that Shocked Even games like dragonage had a hard time porting all of the PC versions complexity over to the console, and EVE is a lot more complex than dragonage.

That would make me so happy! I have 2 PS3's collecting dust. An old 40g with custom skin and a slim 320g that's only been turned on a couple of times! Not to mention The 55" Plasma, 22' LED and 33" LCD collecting dust. The LCD is one of the old models it's something like 48 inches long and 18 tall, barely used. Eve addicts don't have time for things like watching TV or playing video games! Eve is not a video game, it's serious bussines!

Do not assume anything above this line was typed by me. Nerf the Truth, it's inconvenient.

No. Controllers are just inferior to mouse/keyboard once you get used to them. Played console games for a very long time, but hardly anymore since moving to pc gaming.

Joystick for EVE interface? No way.

I'd play DUST on PC and EVE on tablet or phone (touchscreen).

No, consoles are the satan of the computing world.

(1 Coders3:8)
He that committeth sin is of the PS3; for the PS3 sinneth from the beginning.

(Consoles 2:14)
Forasmuch then as the gamers are partakers of games and applications, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through games he might destroy him that had the power of force shock game pads, that is, the console;

Lol

Yeah.. It would feel weird to play EVE on a console, with all the typing and "micromanaging".
DUST514 however is another story. Smile

eve online would work easily on the ps3 platform cos the ps3 has a keyboard and mouse available and the psn network system would be fine for expansions............ microsoft xbox 360 as a console would also work but xbox live is not compatible with free expansions ... not ccp's fault blame microsoft's greed for that.

i'd play it on xbox, the problem is that way eve is played it would be near impssoble without hooking up a failboard and mouse. i mean, locking on target in eve is click on overview

how would u do that with a controller?

few games are better for PC, Eve happens to be one of them.

however, if they want to make a smaller, twitch based space shooter and put it on xbox, go for i, i'l buy it.

have fun with your

bots
hackers
lag do to servers
lag due to random fps drops for no reason.

also
fun fact of the day, even with about 7 year old hardware on the xbox, games on PC are just finally catching up, and u know what's sweet? when new consoles come out graphics will be better on them because game devs don't care about PC anymore since sales are dismal
