I was thinking that more should be done to improve the lowsec mining opportunities, but then I figured that having gneiss and other advanced ores yielding more per unit would fix that issue, providing some incentive to move into LS. Unfortunately, I suspect that;

a) the number of 'grav' sites is pretty low, and since they're few and far between it won't impact mining populations.
b) they're very easily camped (just like WH sites) which isn't going to attract miners any more than it is now, since it's basically a 'warp to me and shoot me' situation for mining ships.

The good news is that it might be easier for miners to hire mercs to support them if they can find a decent deposit, but it's possible all the extra mins from the advanced ore will go straight to merc funds, and therefore its still not worth mining in LS. A small step forward, but it's not going to change anything in that regard.

Perhaps more ore deposits would help, even if they're just the smaller, less valuable ones so as not to saturate the place with mins. And I don't quite understand why ore deposits are easily found now and what benefit its supposed to be, but I'm thick sometimes Lol

The biggest advantage is that nullsec miners won't need dedicated scanning skills to find something to mine. win-win for nullsec industry,

I really dont know where to ask this and I dont wanna open a topic for a noob question: is anything I can do to get my skills up to date on the test server? Right now there is a month delay between the live and test server regarding my skill set and I cannot test stuff that I completed the training recently :/

They are deploying a new mirror some time in the next week from TQ. Probably had to wait until the Dust release so the DB would be complete for dual use testing. I am also waiting on the remirror becouse I reset my password right after the last mirrorUgh

Thanks for the response, I was hopping that there is a solution to this problem. Not sure how the devs expect us to test stuff when we are a month back with the skill training.

Participate in mass tests and you get 2m skillpoints. Also, I don't understand how being 1 month behind would prevent you from testing.

Let's say that I just finished to train for a Buzzard on live server, but on the test server I can fly max a Heron. True, I can test the new exploration stuff in a Heron too, but it would be much more difficult and frustrating. And I cannot participate in mass test, when is a fleet with more than 50-10 pilots my PC is just keep crashing.. not sure why. But I'm not complaining or anything, I thought that there is a way to get your skill set up to date on the test sever. Thanks for the responses.

You sound like a great candidate for a mass test! Big smile When your PC crashes, we'll get sent the crash report, and then if you were to upload the crash dump to us in a bug report, we might be able to fix the problem! The mirror snapshot was taken on TQ last Wednesday or thereabouts, so you should be able to fly anything you could on TQ last wednesday, on Sisi early next week.

PS: Actually I know why my game is crashing during massive fleets, but I'm to embarassed to say it in public :D

i think
data sites should have name -> hacking sites
relic sites should have name -> archeology sites

i wish to play new hacking game all day long, please, make old hacking method for hacking, and add thins new game to accesories, that i can do this

someone from ccp, say at fanfest, that if something can be simple as it can, then it should be simple, i think this this have apply here

Thank god and CCP the hacking mechanism is finally complete!The analyzers are now online! And now we don't need to worry about leaving probes behind! The digital white pad problem had fixed!
But there are still problems. Today I ran across many nullsec system to probe, and found out that all these data/relic site would not be erased from universe after someone finished them. Just before the DT I enter a system and probed out a relic site which was done by myself two hours ago.
And after the hacking mini game the jetting containers are very difficult to pick up. There are two different jetting directions and the containers are flying a little bit too fast, and the icon of containers are too small, which make them very hard to be double clicked on. Once I failed to click on it I would start to accelerate to another direction and fly away from the containers. I hope that maybe CCP can add the "recover" or "collect" options in the right click options on these small little containers.
There is one more thing. Even if I can pick up some of those containers, the loot of these containers are very unworthy. Indeed sometimes I could loot few worthy things like T2 BPC or blue salvage materials, but most of them are garbage such as data sheets, or metal scraps. These things make the relic/data sites become very unworthy. Certainly if we go to these sites with friends we may be able to pick up all the stuff but that also means solo hacking would be totally meaningless and I would dare to say that most of hackers are solo hackers. And we don't know what kinds of containers would give you something worthy so all we could do now is pick up all the containers as possible, but that's more like a draw. I believe most of us raise our analyzing skills for something solid and worthy, not a lottery.

Had this too. Switch from hangar view to captians quarter and you should be able to undock.

I don't see a topic for it anywhere, and thus I don't want to make one myself.

The new Undock Button
What about it? Couple things. Mainly: Location. I would really like to have it back on the Neocom panel, instead of Station Services. Or, if you must, both.

I'll be blunt - I hate the Station Services panel. The only thing I use it for is to access Agents, and sometimes the LP store. And that's only because I either don't know of any alternative ways of doing so, or don't have the keyboard shortcut bound for it (yet). Most of the times I keep it minimized. But with the Undock button now being pinned to it, I can't really do that anymore, can I?
Secondarily... well... there really isn't. It's just that players got used to the current (TQ) location of Undock button, that it might be a bit irritating to find the undock button moved. And the only reason I can think of you making this for, is to make the button.... bigger. Do we really need this button to be bigger?

And, even more, the new big Undock Button still seems to be causing a lot of problems (crashes). Basically, you broke something that was working just fine. Now, I don't mean that it is bad that you're trying to change something, but I am wondering whether this particular change is actually for better.

(Just pointing out: I am aware that this is all work in progres, so no need pointing it out to me. I'm addressing the change, not the ongoing issues)

Right now I am being forced to use Cascading Menu of the ship -> Undock for it to undock without crashing. Cascading menus = bad. New changes forcing me/us to use cascading menus? Bad.

TL;DR - Please keep the Undock Button on the neocom. For now the new location is more trouble and inconvenience than it is worth.

Rats now flash when killed? Distracting as hell, if that don't bring on a fit nothing will. Seriously what are you lot thinking?

Also having to select the next rat to shoot at rather than it defaulting to the first rat in target list at the top is annoying as well.

I am beginning to think one of the other players on this forum was right when they told me to go play a different game.

If all these changes are really being rolled out to TQ on 4th of June can I get a disable Odyssey button? Thanks.
