unable to connect to server

I have just returned to eve after short time away , paid my subscription but when I try and log in I can see the server is online and can see how many players are online but when I click the play button all I get is checking status and cannot get past that screen , if I type username and password in I just get the message ( unable to connect to selected server , please check address and try again .
does anyone have the answer to this cos ive been waiting two days for reply from petition already and I wana play , ive tried closing firewall and anti virus but that made no diference

I solved this issue , if anyone else has this issue pls try uninstalling firewall then install eve and run it then with eve running reinstall firewall ...... worked for me and im now back playing , happy dayz :)
