Good read.

A couple things really struck me though.

Quote:

The 1-vote vector peeps broke down like so:

234 Nathan Jameson
225 Chitsa Jason
82 Ayeson
82 James Arget
47 Cipreh

That's a pretty large number of people who couldn't be bothered to drag another wh candiate onto their ballot...
And...

Quote:
Nathan Jameson was eliminated in round 17 with 2430 votes

With 31 candidates and 14 slots, that means Nathan was the last candidate eliminated. Unless he was competing for that spot with another wh guy, we very well could have had 3, you guys, next time be sure to put more than one candidate on your ballot and make sure all your corpies have voted!

I would like to run the numbers myself with maybe adding a few more votes to WH candidates and see how many did we really need to put 3. I would bet quite a bit. in the 1000.

Besides 2 is plenty.

I think we should be reading into the fact that both James and I had 82 dudes one vectoring....coincidence? or illuminati? you decide.

@ bronya, two is plenty, but three would've given us a much larger epeen

Clearly illuminati.

I'm very happy to see as few single candidate ballots as there were, as I was concerned that number would be higher. Three is our target for next yeat.Big smile

Or don't understand how STV works. I'd be interested to see if those accounts were inside or outside of our alliances (one would think inside, but I made a 14-slate very public), but we'll never know.

Either way, we got 2 very strong candidates elected. So go us.

I suspect this is the case. I'd think the reason three wormholers lasted until the last rounds is because there was only a voting pool large enough to elect two of us, but we all cross-endorsed each other so well that it took that long to find the margin of success.

Next year, MOAR PUBLICITY!

Well Im sure if we managed to get a few more of the voters out there then we might well have got 3. I Know a fair few folk that never bothered to vote this time round, as they dont have an intrest. THEY KNOW is happening, and dont give to rats asses.

Voter Apathy cost the 3rd seat imho, but lessons can be looked on for the next running. Like having a full lust ?

How about I vote for whoever the hell I want?

Seriously, this mentality is just as dumb as people saying they'll vote for a specific party even in the canadidate is a complete tool.

Not a diplo.

Indeed, vote for whoever the hell you want. However, you lose nothing by adding more people to your ballot, and instead extend its power. Vote for whoever the hell you want, as many times as you can.

If you disagree with certain views a certain candidate holds, or for whatever reasons you'd rather NOT see a particular candidate win, then adding them to your ticket could potentially help move them forward. If you don't want a candidate being elected for whatever reason, don't support them at all.

Don't be upset if you get changes you weren't expecting and didn't want if you vote the way you're told like a blind muppet.

If "more publicity" means more annoying containers named "VOTE NATHAN JAMESON" in safespots of wormhole systems, you will lose my votes next year as well (and my mates' too i guarantee).

When i was reading through the candidates and what they represent, i picked 2 and Nathan Jameson was the most favorable for me... but then the name ringed a bell. That's 4 down just by me mister. Try not to pollute our dscan next year and we'll see
