On the Star Trek set the way it was decided how to pronounce a new Klingon word was the first person to say it set how it was pronounced.

So what I want to know is not how you pronounce it, but how the first person at CCP to say it pronounced it.

i say no-sis, but i'm pretty sure it's supposed to be pronounced like agnostic, since gnosis is the root word :P

in other words, greeks pronounce stuff weird. they even manage to pronounce gyro like gear-o o_O

The correct way to pronounce the name when one arrives is using its formal title...

"PRIMARY"

In Django the D isn't silent it accents the J to create a short J, in Gnosis the 'silent' G accents the N similar to a lot of Vietnamese words such as Nyuen where the Y is 'silent' yet accents the transition between the N and U (or Y depending on your anglicized spelling)
If the gno- part of the word rhymes with 'know' then you are using an Americanized pronunciation, know-sis, which sounds silly, I can't think of another English word that correctly describes the enunciation but the O should be a short O sort of like the First O in 'operator'

So it's bascially gnaw-sis.

Hahahaha... I haven't been on comms for a while. Is this really how some people are pronouncing it. Probably the same guys that pronounce Caracal as carousel, scimitar as skimatar and zealot as zee-lot.
