Im still having problems too, Before I was getting kicked at login and now its during gameplay. Reinstalled Eve and got new Modem..... Did get this response from a support ticket though.

This issue may have been caused by our side but was resolved as of downtime to day 03.03.2014. If you continue to encounter socket closures or connection issue after to days downtime then we suggest you contact your ISP as then your issue should not be related to this issue. We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you. Please update your tickets accordingly.

i got that same response, i guarantee its not an ISP problem with this many people in different places having the same issue

Seems fixed now. Just back to the normal disconnects (like just now) rather than socket closed after character selection!

What is going on, log both my toons on to do some ratting and i have my ships in space and clients stop responding. both of them, i go and reconnect and it says cant connect to server. wtf.
It happens nearly every day since new patch but this time i have my ships in a space... Laggy as hell aswell.
Whats going on?

it's still an ongoing issue, other ppl in the same system getting the same problems.
with different isp and different countries, so stop blaming our isp.

edit: i got 2 different isp's and both giving problems

I have having this DC socket closed issue for the past few days. Very frustrating. So, if we lose ships because of this issue, we would not get any compensation, I suppose? I think I will let my sub lapse for a month to ascertain that things are stable before I come back to play. Losing ships and ISK through DC and no fault of your own is just so BS.

Got a new modem, the old one kept disconnecting me from the interent.. After playing a few days without a hitch i started getting Socket closed again. The ISP is working good as the internet is not dropping only EVE.

Returned 3 days ago.

First 2 days went fine but today is horrible. 2 Accounts each of them dropping every couple of seconds because " socket closed"
Sometimes i can log in and play some, and other times i get doped right after loading into the game.

:\ Not very good impression for a returner.

if it helps you feel better i rejoined a couple days ago and havent been able to log in since except for a very lucky few mins to load up my skills.

I appear to have most trouble when I try to Dock, my ship just sits and I am unable to chat in any channels. Sometimes it eventually docks and sometimes it has socket closed.

When I am running 3 clients, at this point usually 2 of my clients get Socket closed, and eventually the 3rd when I am logging the others back in.

East Coast EST here. I have been having this f****ing Socket Closed **** all evening, can barely stay logged in for 15 minutes. All other Interwebs games working fine. Teamspeak never disconnects. Probably NOT my ISP. I have not previously experienced this error.

Yesterday was bad

Today is a freaking joke

of 30 attempts i got 29 Socket closed when logging in.

Took me 40 minutes to finally get in. 5 min into the game. Socket closed

Isent my isp. everything else works just fine

Still happening.. Been in 2 fleets tonight and it has happened in both fleets. Some ships were lost as they dced and couldnt warp out but certain reds could warp in.
This has to be taken seriously and sorted out. NOW

I can understand loosing connections but now it has became more than just a random occurrence over 5000 lost sockets at the same time from all corners of the world yet its our internet?! i don't think so. There is clearly something wrong and CCP seem to ignore their loyal player base.

For the players loosing ships during these issues just fill in a ticket and if the deny it I know in the UK at least and you speak to PayPal or your bank and explain things they will get you your money back for the previous month as the game is unplayable and unfit for purpose and as we know risky.
EA has had the same problem with servers on BF4 but at least they are big enough to say when it its them.

For a GM to pass the book is just poor customer service and like i've said before 5000 people at the same time its not your internet.

still cant even get past the login screen, im gonna give it a couple more days until my skill queue ends to at least let me get back in so i can load my skills up again before i just say F*** it and deactivate my account

this is unacceptable that we cant even play the game...

Socket closed.. everything else runs fine, only eve is giving me connection troubles
