Odyssey exploration changes - Skills

I recall during the keynote demonstration of the new exploration system in Odyssey, there was mention of new skills. What does this mean for the existing Hacking and Archeology skills? It sounds like they are being replaced, but there was no mention of that, just that new skills would be needed for the changed content.

I haven't heard of any new skills but existing skills will get some changes.

For scanning, the bonuses will be front loaded into Astrometrics with secondary skills now giving less of a bonus. The net result is it will be easier to scan with lower skill points.

I don't know exactly how Hacking or Archeology will effect the new mini-games, I'd assume high skill makes them easier but I haven't found specifics on them yet.

Sounds like it is time to at least train Astrometrics from 4 to 5 on my two characters that scan. I was planning on doing it anyway as one is going to train black ops, but that makes it sound essential for both.
