Basic question.

Who DOESN'T like the new wardec policy?

Sign/like/troll the thread to show your concerns about CCP taking the risk away from high sec because Eve Uni are a bunch of cry babies...

Oh, you mean it MIGHT cost more so that 2 dollar, 5 minute corps can't wardec everyone for the fun of it?

Or will it mean if you intend to wardec someone you better also be wantin' to actually fight?

Or will it mean $2 corps can only afford to wardec $2 corps leaving the big boys to slug it out with dragons instead of gnats?

Just incase the OP doesn't know. I'd like to point out that Poetic Stanziel killed this topic a few days ago.
By killed I mean a slow, drawn out, painful process and in the end it just became a really, really, really bad joke. I think the Goons even got tired of it.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't maintaining the dec shield cost at least as much as it would cost to war dec EVE Uni?

Meaning that EVE Uni is paying at least as much as it would cost to dec them in order to avoid the decs. By this reasoning, if EVE Uni can afford to maintain the dec shield, any organization with the same or greater amount of money could therefore dec them.

EDIT: I should preface this with a statement that I am personally disappointed with the CCPs policy change. The old imune trick did HORRIBLE things to empire, possible more so than "Alliance P" ever did.

I got the likes for championing FW fixes mostly.

The thread is in response to the GM declaration that people can freely hop corps and corps can hop alliances etc..., meaning high sec wars are all but impossible to run as anybody can run from them, thereby making high sec risk free.

The dec shield is supposed to cost that much Tae, but there has been speculation that they have a way to make it much cheaper...

There is a post later on that says it is not allowed to join corp while in space to gank someone (since they didn't see you as red when u parked next to them in mission, then jumped into corp), but they allow people to avoid wars, which people have legitimately paid their fees for...

Meh, I think its stupid but whatever. I had a couple wardecs going that effectively had two corps station camped for the last month. They got merc'd because they were decidedly more annoying than they're worth. This will just increase the level of stupid behaviour that goes without reprocussions. CCP really need to fix crimewatch and revamp the war system anyway. People who baselessly accuse others of random **** and expect to not be hunted down for smacktalking the wrong person honestly need to not have that level of protection.

That said, on the flipside, griefers of all kinds are crying about it... so whatever. Kinda indifferent about it. It makes getting my point across a little harder with mercs, though.

Imo, this is CCP admitting that the wardec mechanics and highsec is ******. They need to fix it and then repeal this.

The war dec system is screwed anyway. You have nobodies in hi-sec declaring war on 0.0 alliances in the hope they might catch a lone freighter around Jita. But as soon as something that can fight back come, they dock. That's why 0.0 alliances use alts for moving stuff, and don't bother wasting time trying to catch the nobodies. So the war might as well not exist.

I'm in favor of anything that can turn wannabe high-sec piracy into real war, and that include raising the cost of war-deccing.

Read what has been said. This change has made it such that the corp that is decced can RUN from the war without being forced to defend their corp/alliance.
It basically means there is no point in trying to perform war in high sec - it is now carebear heaven as the only way to lose a ship now is by suicide gank or stupidity... And the war deccer meanwhile gets to pay isk for concord to allow them to have a war dec issued which is now meaningless...
