Amarrian ships have always looked like giant turds and spacedicks. Why has it all of a sudden become cause for concern?

This... this is not how you get anything accomplished. Try a bug report or a petition or something. But this **** is just unacceptable. You should feel ashamed of yourself.

Petitioning and bug reporting never gets results from CCP, that has been tried and failed many times. All you accomplish by doing that is letting 1 guy at CCP know your unhappy about it and they usually just close the petition without doing anything anyways. That's why we've had near game breaking bugs, such as the overview bug due to standings information not being pulled, that can determine which fleets win/lose due to friendly fire for well over a year. The best way to make CCP change something is to cause so much fuss over it in public areas that they fix it to avoid bad PR. Bad PR is always what makes CCP fix something. I wish constructive criticism and petitions worked but CCPs track record says otherwise.

I am a little disappointed with the Ark *and* the Providence, but can live with it.

The one that really frustrates me is the Obelisk. Of the four freighters, it shows the most pixelization/artifacting/distortion in the overall texture. It looks hideous when you look at it closely. I had hoped they would have fixed this with the V3, but no such luck.

I'd feel bad for your Ark if I didn't fly a Nomad.

First, they look awesome. Second CCP will next be changing the lighting conditions in Eve which is supposed to make Amarr especially look better with the new V3s. So be patient... or just stop complaining. Preferably both.

Hope this is true. I love the new textures but hate how everything is dark now :/

This isn't bad PR however. This is a subjective opinion. Just because you don't like it, doesn't make it bad.

I have literally a 0% chance of ever working at CCP. Or don't you remember Incarnagate?

If you feel so strongly about it, try coming up with a well constructed and well reasoned post instead. Give CCP the full breakdown on not only why you feel the current design is lacking, but also some ideas on how it could be improved. Give them reasons and methods to devote more time (read: money) into reworking the current designs beyond simply saying you don't like it. Try sitting down with some colored pencils and paper and draw up some alternate color schemes. Don't tell me you can't do that either. It's basically a giant oval with some blocky stuff underneath. Not hard to draw.

If you're more interested in using community pressure than any sort of constructive feedback, then make use of the community. Start a survey and ask people to post their opinions. Gather together opinions and feedback about the new Carthum colors (Ark, Paladin, Guardian, etc...) and thus create a place for CCP to easily see what public opinion is on it.

All you've done so far is whine and suggest that skilled and dedicated people begin losing their livelihoods because they painted an internet spaceship a color you don't like. That's petulant whining, not constructive feedback or bad PR. If you think saying things like that will get you results, you've got another thing coming.

I doubt you'll take any of my advice though, because you're probably content to sit here and shitpost on the forums instead of doing anything constructive for the game.

If you guys don't like your Arks I will gladly take them off you hands and won't even charge anything. Put contracts up wherever you want.

IMHO the Ark looks amazing.

Why would you not use an alt to post on the forums?

Even the providence... IMO..... Has lost something. Darkening it just doesn't seem right, was so bright and pretty before :3

I'm guessing you would expect me to send this to CCP through a petition which I already clearly stated never gets results based on past history. And in regards to how it can be improved is simple, revert to the previous textures. These ships looked great before, I don't recall every hearing someone complain about them in the past, why would they even bother changing them to begin with.

Maybe you misunderstood why someone else created this thread on the forums to begin with. And yes this is bad PR even if its not in every gaming news site covering the game. Creating threadnaughts on a topic is what draws even more people into reading it, so the more replies the topic gets, the more likely someone is to notice it. Unfortunately there are only so many pilots who would even be flying an Ark so most people probably wouldn't even care because they never see the ship.

If you think making a post complaining about something on the forums isn't constructive your sadly mistaken. Negative publicity is pretty much a proven method of getting something done, ask any politician or ask even CCP since **** posting about an expansion such as Incarna lead them to stop work on an entire expansion and refocus on other areas of the game.

Do I like being negative? No, but sadly it tends to be an effective method of getting change. The more replies the thread gets, the more people will read it. Complaining about something on a public forum is bad PR, I'm amazed you could even think otherwise.

I want to fly an Ark... but with the current texture i'm seriously considering training for Caldari boats and using a Rhea instead as it looks ALOT better... the OLD Ark colourization was far nicer....

Ark = Not amused in the least bit... it was gorgous before but now looks a bit... well not good. Evil

Rhea = FAR better looking... on my list of ships to get now (I'm not a fan of camo).

Nomad = GAH!!! MY EYES!!!!

Anshar = Nice... I'd consider flying this now.
