So for my birthday(WAs born to EVE in november 10 years ago this year Big smile) i'm planning on an event.

Basically it's going to be a race to pod me. Well, it's kind of special since i still have my original body, so it's a once in a lifetime chance Lol

Just asking around other event creators etc on what i would need to accomplish this(since i'm not completely sure on the game mechanics);

- 0.0 for free podding? Other ways to do it?
- Highsec possibility(for lesser grief etc)?
- Need help from an alliance(with own area), or can be done solo?

Ofcourse things like donations to the prizepool etc need to be handled, but otherwise looking for some tips&tricks.

In high sec it would be very difficult, since CONCORD would intervene immediately if someone tried to podkill you, and even if they got you, they'd lose their ship.

Mind you, some people do that for fun already, so you'd still gather a crowd.

In low sec the only things that will bother you are sentry guns around stargates, so anywhere that is away from the sentry guns would be fine. Whoever attacks you still takes a little security status hit, but it's not the end of the world.

Nullsec could work as well, although you might have a hard time staying alive long enough to get podded by someone participating in the contest, depending on where in nullsec you are and what you're flying. There is a lot of nullsec space out there, and much of it is mostly empty, so it's just a question of finding the right place.

Typically these types of contests happen with the target hiding in low sec.

Thanks for that, low sec might be indeed the best bet.

Couple of things to plan out, but plenty of time to do so. Doesn't hurt to prepare early though.
