Best solution to Jita congestion - and one which I personally use to great effect, do not go there,

Let the security status float, so that sec status is based on the probability of ship destruction over some time per average system population. Jita is one "burn jita" event away from a 0.4 sec status. That would solve all "Jita" and like problems.

Why are people so mad that Jita exists? Its like people want to stomp all over the sandcastle the majority of the player base built. Its like you are mad because people want a single place to buy and sell goods. I don't see the outrage of NYC being the place to buy and sell stocks.

I treat Jita like I treat Atlanta -- alien to the rest of the region; crawling with people too much in a hurry to say even "hi"; crime is horrible; and it's more expensive to do business there.

Avoid it like the plague.

But this "one world" server concept shows there's limits on what a megacluster can handle. Sandbox idea that doesn't pan out in reality. Jita is the closest thing EvE has of a capital city in scope, and the "system" can't even handle 1/10th of the players visiting. So there's a hard cap, artificially placed, so visiting Jita by 3k won't crash the entire game.

Jita needs to be on it's own node, with standbys ready for the extra traffic (about 10k connections, which is about 4 average front ends) -- but that would take it off the "one world" concept, so the game suffers worse due to it. Ugh

If you look at dotlan you can see a cluster of 3 systems with high security status and the same facilities here. All the systems are 1 jump away from eachother making for easy transit between them.

Simply expand the Jita trade hub to the other 2 systems in the cluster. It would make for lighter load on the nodes and could provide for trading opportunities between systems.

EDIT: Realized a goal is a good thing to have so, if anyone wants to help in this venture New Caldari II (Matias) - Kaalakiota Corporation Factory will be my target station for stocking.

People chose to sell stuff at Jita, so you'd have to get the people to leave. They're not going to.

Open a can of tuna where you want all the cats to be. Allow nature to take its course.
Oh, wait - that's already been done. Jita, Amarr, Rens, Dodixie...

Sorry. You're going to need a much bigger, tastier can of tuna to get all those cats to move.

Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.
