So, Fanfest, Titan insertion mode.
Don't really think Dust players should be able to blow up a Titan.
So here is what I thought:
A EVE player controls a drilling ship that gets you on specific points on the Titan.
So for example you want to disable the warp ability of the Titan, you go to the engines and drill the Titan, letting the Dust players in.
Then, they have to fight the appointed Dust mercs that the Titan owner hired, and if the attackers win the warp is disabled.
Same for shield modules, weapons and even the DD.
And so on and so forth, each module will have a different place for drilling. (So lets say 8 low slots? Each slot has its own drilling place)
So Dust players will act as tacklers rather than directly destroying the Titan.
They can disable shielding or disable armor reps, or destroy armor plates etc' to make the Titan vulnerable.
It would take hours of battles to completely disable the Titan, which is why its better to attack the specific areas you want dead.

Along with that there would be a scanner that tells you exactly what the Titan has in each slot.
It will only work on capital ships.

What do you think of that?
That's just a random idea I had and wondered if you would like it.

THIS IDEA IS FOR CAPITAL SHIPS IN GENERAL, NOT JUST TITANS

i have two points of view on the topic

1 - why not all ships?

2 - why allow others to control our space ships? even more so people i can't kill myself!

These ideas are terrible because:

1) Titans are not combat ships, their role is bridging
2) Why would I waste my life disabling some titan's thrusters when I can just kill it in 3 minutes? I doubt the DUST players would have loaded their map by then
3) Titans do not leave POS shields, except when they're being ganked, in which case see point 2

1. You can go all ships.
It only makes the process quicker.

2. They can't get there without your enemy putting them there.
So technically EVE players are still in control.
Dust players are just pawns.

This idea is for capital ships in general.
Should probably add that to avoid confusion.

Its even quicker to kill the other capital ships so again back to point 2. Why waste the time when you can just blow it up yourself? Cap ships are being killed fine without Dust intervention, why should we force it into an aspect of the games that's currently working fine?

True the more they force Dust into EVE the more marketing they can do and the more PS3s they can sell for their grand overlord Sony.

1) Why not? They have DDs and Guns...

3) Maybe yours don't. Doesn't mean everyone's don't.

So, DUSTbunnies can also know what it's like to wait and wait and wait and wait for the titan pilot to stop masturbating, and jump through the cyno?
