Thats an excellent point, the gnosis is the only gift and to be honest i think its an awesome gift. THe other stuff has to be earned therefore it dosent count

UPDATE: Disaster Averted.

The page that tracks progress for the gift unlocks has been quietly readjusted. The target number of "Likes" has been lowered from an estimated 50,000 to a more realistic 4,000 or so (again, my estimate).

Unlock progress bar is nearing 50% complete.

I expect that after downtime on May 5th we'll be able to redeem them. Look for a present icon in the lower right of your character selection screen (the one you get right after you login). Also, there is a "Redeem Items" button on the bottom of your options menu (hit ESC to open the menu in-game). You'll get a pop-up listing the items, you can selectively choose which items you want redeem.

If you'd read the rest of the thread, you'd have picked up on the fact that I originally thought the Gnosis was dished out to FanFest attendees and wasn't being given away as part of the 10 year celebrations.

I heard that CCP is going through the forums and all chat logs to single out people that complained about the gifts and then run a script to exempt them from getting the stuff in the redeeming options.
[They really should do this. Think of the tears! All this wrecked entitlement, I'd put a salvager to it.]

These threads are so predictable... there's the side honestly expressing disappointment, and the side condemning them over being 'spoiled' and 'entitled.'

Personally, my own take is this: the Jove battlecruiser is a novelty, but at at the end of the day, it's absolutely worthless. Everyone will have one, which means that, for years, it won't have much value at all. And nobody will fly it because they won't want to lose it. Like so many of the other ship handouts we've gotten over the years, it falls into the category of a curiousity... neat (although I think it's hideous), but useless.

I think it would be very cool if there was some kind of other gift they could provide us with. For example, it would be neat if there was some kind of custom '10 year anniversary' skin or decal you could slap on a boat of your choosing, which could then be reused even if your vessel was destroyed. It'd have no monetary value, but would merely proclaim 'hey, I was there.'

There is also the matter of those that also buy the CE will get a 5 run BP for this ship as well, so there will be 5 x #CE sold available.

You will have natural wastage with people losing them to gankers, gate camps, missions, etc.

This isnt a moan, as I was taught be thankful for any free gift, as CCP doesnt have to do any of this, they're just really nice people Big smile
