If you never get podded, you don't have to get new implants. But you should always update your clone so it can hold more skillpoints than you have.

Think of upgrading a clone like this - skillpoints are like a constant stream of water flowing into a bathtub (clone). You should always upgrade this clone so you don't "overflow" with skill points and lose them if you get podded (and believe me, you will get podded throughout this game, even if you don't want to).

Each grade of medical clone can retain a certain number of skill points in case you are podded. As your skill points rise to the limit of your current clone it is up to you to buy a better one. You can find out how many SP a clone type can retain by looking at chart at a station friendly to you with a clone center. You only need to get new implants if you can afford better or get podded as medical clones do not have them or retain those.

You don't have to upgrade your clone at all. However, if you ever do get podded you are going to regret not upgrading it.

Depends on the age of the original body and any genetic faults (if there are faults or non treatable illnesses in the original body, then every clone created from that template will have them as well). Despite medical advances and cybernetic technology, the clone body is still human at its basest level.

I would assume it's similar to however long your average joe shmo lives with access to the same level of medical care. There may be some variance from the normal humans, but I imagine theres little variance between clones themselves. They are mass produced so most will have similar benefits and flaws, but they are made from reused biomass, and some ARE low grade bodies.

I think the OP is asking from a Lore perspective. I think the real question is, "In the Eve Lore, how many years does a capsuleer clone last? Will a clone grow old and grey?"
