I have tried to set up a bunch to make my life easier. I'd like to share my ideas and see what others have done. I'm sure that longer term players will probably laugh at mine, and hopefully I can get better ideas.

Ammunition = Group - Is - Charge - All
* Got sick and tired of looking for ammo

Est >100K = Estimated - Greater then - 100,000.0
* I use this to move all expensive stuff into another container when I'm a reprocessing mood. Just for safety. I also have a >500K for what is usually good for reselling.

Est <50K = Estimated - Less than - 50,000.0
* This is my "safe" view to reprocess all the junk in a large pile of ... junk

Meta 4 + Tech 2 = Meta Level - Greater than - 3
* I like to reuse/sell Meta 4 on hulls, and I usually store all that with the tech 2 gear, so speeds up ship fitting. I always use this filter first on junk piles to extract all the Meta 4 modules before reprocessing.

Ore and Materials = Group - is - Material - All
= Group - is - Asteroid - All
* I keep a "Mats for Production" Corp hanger to manufacture from, so I use this to grab all the materials.

Other ones that are on other toons that had come in handy in the past (should be self evident on how to set up)

* Anything over 10m3 in size
* All High Mods / All Med Mods / All Low Mods as separate filters
* Ammo Stacks UNDER 1000 unit - to sort REAL ammo from small DROPPED ammo stacks
* Show all SKillbooks - cause I was losing them in the piles (before stickign everything in sorting containers)

All feedback is welcome.

No filters, just cans. Lots and lots of cans.

It'll stay like that for me until we get tabs.

Plus cans help prevent you from getting scammed by contracts asking for items for 1 isk disguised as for sell contracts. PLEX scams come to mind, if they aren't in the hanger but in a can or you don't have the PLEX you cant fall for the scam even if you fall for the scam Lol

I like my cans. They kind of do work like tabs though with the new inventory on the left side each can shows up.

OMG.

Ok, well, I also use cans, but I use filters quite a bit because I guess I have a lot of low level junk, and not high end gear worth 17 billions.

The inventory management EVE are one of the few things that could make rage quit one day.. I have a decent setup, but it still sucks. The corp hangar makes it a little easier, but then again - DIVISIONS. Omg, whyyyyyyyyyy???????

Inventory in pos'es feels like a punishment.. There is the corp hangar and the ship maintanence array... There should at least be possible to link them together.. But no... Cans cans and even more cans and a cargo bay with all its limitations regarding cans.

Station containers should be more than just an empty space.. How about tabs?? Posibillities to store smaller cans would have been great.. Or maybe an option to automatic sort items like the marked is built.

There are so many limitations that you start to wonder why? If it is some attempt to imitate the laws of physics, they missed a class in high school.. The ships have advanced technology that surpasses reality, inventory managment in the game shouldn't be any less advanced.

This my second attempt to stay sane for now.. Someone Ugh was repacking mods and did a brainless CTRL-A, not thinking that EVERYTHING inside the containers would end up OUTSIDE again. Shocked That was fun, ehhh, yeah so I have been told..... Cool

Another can fan here, I use the filters to sort and then dump it in the appropriate can.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
