"only" advantage you listed is completely incorrect also. Shield fits and armour fits largely have the same ehp, the difference is the sig radius, minmatar bcs have the lowest sig radius of the lot and blowing it up with buffer shield fits is kind of counterproductive.

You generally don't want to fit a 1600 plate on it since the 7k ehp increase isnt worth the loss of speed, agility and ability to fit medium neut.

The other main difference is the ability to fit ewar (namely webs) in the mids or tracking computers if you're worried about range and /or tracking. The DPS difference is significant: 63 DPS, but that's expected between shield and armour as well as the speed difference of about 210m/s and the agility (align time is 0.8 seconds faster in shield) but that hardly matters in a brawling situation.

What does matter in a brawling situation is the ability to stop your opponent from moving: ie webs. Shields cannot fit webs unless you go pointless or drop a LSE (8k ehp loss) and then the fit becomes pointless unless you run in a fleet where you're guaranteed to never need a point.

So when we come down to what actually matters for a brawling BC: tank, ewar and dps. It seems the shield fit wins in one category, ties in the other and loses in the tank war.

Wow, seems balanced? Nowai.

please tell me youre a student at eve uni and not a teacher?

not fitting a 1600 plate to a BC? this HAS to be a troll
same ehp as shield tank? sure, if 48k and 65k is the same number, then ok...
a totally negligible sig rad difference on a BC hull? lol, yeah that's totally important!!
for the record, DPS difference with warriors is more like 100.

PS: no one cares about the belicose, move on.

There is no Bob.

Well fine, let's stick the 1600 plate on it it just gives the armourcane even more of an advantage over the shield cane in an all out brawl.

DPS difference seems a bit off (adding drones doesn't make a difference, they are a common factor) in your fits. Armour fit should only have 1 less gyro than the shield.

I'm going to hazard a guess at your fits:

Sure second eanm gives a big lump of extra ehp: but you were QQing about how much more dps a shield fit does. Dropping one eanm for a gyro means you get the SAME dps while coming out 8k ehp ahead. Sure Projection is down a little compared to the shield fit but it hardly matters in a brawl.

Also 88m increased sig radius puts you almost on the same size as BS hulls, in fact you're about as big as a mach in the shield fit making yourself extremely vulnerable to missiles and large guns.

And people who have narrow minds don't care about the bellicose.
