What's funny is that the EVE Facebook page already has 200K likes, so technically we've already achieved the goal twice over.

Didn't CCP build a 'select your own reward' page a year ago? I would have thought that this is the perfect time to use it again.

Every year we go through this.... 90% of the player base complains about the gifts, while the other 10% go "oh, cool! Free in-game items!!!"

For the last 9 years, it's been "Why are all the gift ships such carebear crap?!", now they finally give us something combat focused, and ya'll are STILL complaining about it.
Not only that, but it seems like for every player who is happy about still having the game around, there are at least five capsuleers complaining about how CCP is actually paying attention to the Dustbunnies.
Did you not get the memo that Dust players are CCP customers, too? Interesting concept, here.... the more products CCP releases, the more ground they can cover, and the more gamers they can appeal to. And the more money CCP makes, the more likely EVE will be to have a 20th Anniversary. Is it really that hard to understand?

The Apotheosis was given out for the 5th anniversary, and then again later as PLEX and second account deals, and as a winter gift, and in some other promotions. I don't know why anyone is shocked that CCP would do the same with the Genosis. I like lots of ships better than just a few ships anyway. I wish CCP would seed tournament frigs and cruisers to the empires (different skins but same stats). It's too bad we don't see more of them around...
