The main problem I see with these ice changes is that your going to push up the cost of running a POS. This will undoubtably lead to accounts been unsubbed due to the numerous research alts who will be pushed inactive. I know its not possible to say with any conviction what prices will settle at, but it doesnt look healthy to me and i can see the amount of subs suffering because of it. I know 1 of my accounts will be left to expire if it does become too costly tro run the slots. This doesnt mean im against the changes, I just feel that this initial change has gone a wee bit too far.

probably, but people unsubbing is not good for the game in the long run, thats my point.

I have already lived through very expensive ice prices and still pulled out a profit, it simply means charging more. The few who will quit over this will mean more sales for me. The biggest body of people this will impace will be bots and honestly, who cares about their hardships.

unless there are other game mechanics involved, this wont stop bots, it will just mean they arent online 23.5/7 They will soon be changed to 'find' these new anomalies.

Good, I hope there are less pointless POS floating around. Especially in highsec.

I am not against the change, but I have concerns.

I work full-time and when I come home, I like to relax with some ice mining. Now I have to sit and wait for a belt... some night no belt till after I have to go to bed. The respawn time is far to long. I am yet to find a ice belt in highsec Shocked

This new system is good for messing up bot miners, until the find a work around.

Ice and ice product prices will remain very high.

As for the new grav site scanning.... seriously? For 10 years we scanned down the grav site... and now you change it for what? To mess up null sec and wormhole mining. CCP has effectively removed a layer of protection that miners had without compensating for that loss.

EVE might be an PVP game, but where do you get your PVP ships from? Miners and indy players. EVE is suppose to be an sandbox game... I chose to do things on my own, I choose not to PVP (unless you put your ass in my wormhole). I choose to be an indy player. Why CCP are you again discriminating against indy players?

I love EVE and have already kinda found a work around that will hopefully work for me. Im not leaving the game. Im just disappointed.

Yeah its pretty lame right now, perhaps there is some grand purpose for this change that will come about in the coming weeks/months.

Only thing this change did for me is make haul more isotopes around space.

Yay for more cyno alt moving \o/.........

You could just travel to a new system with an Icebelt and check if it's up.

Unsubbing because they got addicted to a zero-effort way of affording their PLEX every month, instead of adapting and finding a variety of revenue streams.

It has turned ice mining in to a bit of a lottery. Now we need to wait for the 4 hour window to end so we can rush the anom when it respawns. I would really prefer a different mechanic than this new one of staring at a clock, even if it meant only finding a couple dozen blocks somewhere in a mini-anomoly, at least I would have a chance of finding something.

Nope .. I pay for my game time every month.. Like other posters I have RL commitments and play when I can ..
With these change it pretty much means I can't now mine ice even if I choose to because the belts just aren't there when I get time to play.
This change effectively removes a playstyle choice consistant with my RL commitments... so why shouldn't I un-sub my two accounts? Nothing in the last 2 releases has doen anything to make me want to stay...in fact just the opposite

So before Odyssey there were 125ish hisec ice fields

Now there are 125ish systems with anomalies instead ??

I don't see the problem ....

If CCP had said 'There shalt be no more Hi Sec Ice' I could understand the crying and tantrum throwing
