Make a new character and put that one into the biomass queue

Why exactly would you like to restart?

Always willing to help all you have to do is ask, though if you're in the other fleet I may not help the way you want. Just a heads up. Pub Channel: Lost Souls Trading Post

EVE Online isn't so much a game as a persistent virtual world. There's no resetting the virtual world to the start, but you can start a new character if you wish.

If you want to do your basic pilot training again you can always go back to your starter system and open a new conversation with Aura.

[Edit] If you have changed your mind about what career to train for, just switch to your new course and carry on. No harm will come from whatever skills you have already trained.

Curious to the reason why you would want to do this. Apart from aesthetics, the choice of race and bloodline has minimal effect on your gameplay. The only difference are a few skills you get at the beginning, which everybody probably will train in due time anyway. Choice of race determines nothing apart from where you start out in the virtual world.

There is some niche gameplay element regarding the cargo capacity of a rookie ship (the ship you get for free at a station if you dock without having a ship), but its such a small element it's not worth breaking your head over. You can fly every rookie ship and aquiring one of another race is simple.

Only if you dislike how your character looks, or when you've wrecked it's reputation, would I advise to recreate your character. There's no point in being overly puritan with the skills on your main. You can also make 3 characters per account, although you can only train one at a time.

YOu do know it's an MMO. And thus resetting isn't possible because there are others in the game.

The closest thing is starting a new character.

But really, what is the reason you want a new character anyway?

That's honestly a limitation that I don't understand, and I've been playing for a while -- why don't they just set it so that two characters can't train the same skill simultaneously?

Why allow 2 characters to train on the same account if there are people willing to pay for 2 or more accounts to allow for training at the same time?

My guess is because it would crash the market for characters pretty fast.
If anyone could train two/three characters on an account at the same time it would be no problem for someone to start a new account, train the basic support skills and up to some half decent PVE and PVP ships, turn around and sell it and start training a new one.

When CCP limits you to training only one character they will both get the income from another subbed account, and creating and training characters for sale is not something that "everyone" does.
Besides, since you can only have one character on the account logged in at the same time its pretty pointless to train a second character on that account (except for basic stuff like market skills, creating corps, industry and so on).

Im also guessing that way way back CCP did not really imagine that it would be "common" for people to play using 2 - 100 characters at the same time and it simply made no sense that you would really need more then one character.
Especially taking into consideration how many skills and ships they have added in over the years. I do not remember seeing how long it would take to max out the skills back in 03-04 but im sure they have added a "few" years to that number by now Lol

Yeah because CCP doesn't want to make a profit.

And surely because training multiple characters on teh same account isn't overpowered...

Please, name any other MMO where you can log in multiple characters of the same account and grind XP with them at the same time.

I currently still have over 7500 days to go. Given that I started in 2010 and still have over 20 years of skills to go...I won't stop skilling
