I personally would only ever go amarr supers, they have the most ehp. Supers are only really ever used in gangs, so doing that extra 2k dps is pretty much irrelevant.

About the only time I would use a non amarr super is the Nyx over the Aeon for solo or dual super low sec hotdroping. Being able to gank whatever ******** carrier has got bumped or agro'd on undock, and gtfo before all hics within 20 jumps start burning for you, is worth the loss in ehp over the dps gain.

You can kill an agressed carrier on the undock with 3 supers in about 55 seconds... Takes 40 seconds to do it if you have 3 nyxes.

If you bring in 3 Nyxes to destroy a 2 billion ISK Carrier then that barely qualifies as a victory to begin with.

It's like fielding 50 cynabals to get one Atron. It just makes the attacker look insecure.

The very sun of heaven seemed distorted when viewed through the polarising miasma welling out from this sea-soaked perversion, and twisted menace and suspense lurked leeringly in those crazily elusive angles of carven rock where a second glance shewed concavity after the first shewed convexity.

But its so fun to completely push an idiots **** in when they do something stupid with their carrier a jump from your home system. http://www.rotekapelle.com/killboard/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=50855 Is a prime example.

When you are combating a station gaming ****** and racing the clock for the difference between a kill and a waste of your time you always want the sure fire kill. Only reason we were able to get that guy with 2 Nyxes is he had no shields when he agressed and the cyno went up. Still only got him by about 5 seconds.

You are making an unequal comparison.

50 cynabals to kill an atron is overkill. Killing an aggressed carrier on a station requires an absolute minimum of 3 supercarriers before he can safely dock up. That is the required amount of force. Pubbies however think it is excessive force and they should have used 40 Tempests instead, which requires at least a fleet that is 15x bigger that needs a titan (which has shorter range than SCs) that is easily scoutable. You call it excess of force, normal people it economy of force.

That is a lesson your corpmate is well aware of ))

Lots of stuff proving why you use what to nuke idiots on station

You could feasibly do it with 4-5 Dreads as well. But is it worth the risk of sieging on station basically at 0 to kill a carrier and possibly be counterdropped and unable to move for 4 minutes?

The supers can cap up in the minute it takes them to kill the carrier recall drones and leave. Unless a Hictor or dictor makes it on the field.

The dreads can try a exit siege jump but more then likely they will be pointed by a rifter newb and be laughed at when they lose 15-20b in dreads to kill 1 carrier.
