A magnate can haul 1600 m3 if dedicated entirely to cargo space. Not sure why people would scan a magnate. Also they won't shoot you just for the KM unless they're in a cheaper ship.

Half the fun of using the EVE forums is figuring out who's trying to get you killed, and who's trying to help :)

Or who really is that dumb. But yeah, IMHO that fit I linked to for the BR is the only way it should be fit whether it's Highsec or Null (getting out of bubbles). If you want a tanky type then the BR isn't for you, and it isn't tanky in any way, nor is it meant to. Not one of the Indy ships, T1/T2, could survive the fire from a single T2 fit Vexor or (2) T1 fit dessys in 0.5 before Concord gets them, let alone the Tier 3 BC's. They should pretty much always be fit for max agility, and cloak if you can (Align-MWD-cloak-warp option does help, though rough to fit on T1 haulers).

At some point, no matter how careful you are, no matter how lucky you have been, you will get popped, but that's the point of Eve, it's Space War with consequences.

Very good point.

The Operative: "There are a lot of innocent people being killed in the air right now".

Capt. Malcolm Reynolds: "You have no idea how true that is".

People scan T1 Frigates and T2 Covert Ops Frigates all the time. Even more so a Thrasher can gank them.

SO if your going to haul with these move fast. Warp to 0 and use insta warps on stations.

Aruena, here are a couple of loadouts that might give you some ideas...C:

The ship I use is the Prowler. Its the fastest/most agile among the BRs, has the second best cargo bay and sports the smallest signature radius. Also, its the only one that can reliably operate in WH space.

[Prowler, Prowler HS]

Synthetic Hull Conversion Inertia Stabilizers I

[Empty High slot]

Covert Ops Cloaking Device II

Medium Hyperspatial Velocity Optimizer II

Align 3.4
Still less signature than a standard Crane.
14.1AU/s warp speed
4962 cargo hold (with a container of course)

Those faction inertia stabs are a little pricey but they improve your agility considerably while minimizing the signature radius increase penalty. Also the two T2 HVO IIs are cheap enough and also essential in long hauling sorties productivity. Since you SHOULDN'T UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES autopilot a BR in highsec, the faster you are able to complete runs the better. The rest of the slots are unimportant for HS, drop whatever you like to them.

If you are interested in hauling in LS/null/WHs, here is a setup that can help...

[Prowler, Prowler WH]

Nanofiber Internal Structure II

ECM Burst II
Adaptive Invulnerability Field II
Experimental 10MN Microwarpdrive I

Covert Ops Cloaking Device II
Core Probe Launcher II

Medium Polycarbon Engine Housing II
Medium Polycarbon Engine Housing II

Speed plays a bigger role here, due to you having to escape bubbles or fly back to the gate you came from. The ECM burst can serve as a last resort in null/WH space to break targeting while smashing the warp button if you are caught. Same goes for the inv. The warpdrive is utilized in the warp+cloak trick to put as much distance from a decloaker as possible if caught in a bubble. The launcher is essential for WH ops, and the choice of lows and rigs serve to augment both speed and agility. (you can substitute the two T2 polys with a T2 aux thrusters and a T2 friction joints rig. You will lose some speed and agility, but also gain 100mil you can spend elsewhere).

Some rules while using the above.

1. Never autopilot.
2. If you jump into a gate with a lot of action burn back to it, dont try to run. And watch your approach for decloakers.
3. Never fit cargo mods. The BRs are designed for speed and evasion.
4. Never fit warp core stabilizers. If you ever come to need one, you are dead anyway.
5. Never try to max tank your BR. No amount of tank is going to save you if caught.
6. Dont even think of using BRs in anything other than HS unless you have Navigation V, Spaceship Command V and Evasive Maneuvering V.
7. Paranoia is your best weapon. Use the map to gain info, bounce through celestials to drop pursuit, use a scout to watch ahead, watch your local, bounce through safes/bookmarks celestials to drop pursuit, warp to on grid bookmark or @ 100k to take a peak at a gate etc.
8. If you are doing regular runs, prepare for them. Always have an instant undock bookmark, make safes, use far ongrid bookmarks for gates etc. Having the skills to properly fit and use a covops scout pays good dividends for a skilled hauler/smuggler.

And always remember. Even if you do all the above, you are going to die horribly once or twice by an unlucky decloak, a server tick hiccup or a bad decision. Your job though is to minimize risk as much as you possibly can. Happy hauling.
