Hello!

Maybe this would be the next best steps to have a CCP / CLOAKERS / HUNTERS! WIN WIN WIN? yes?

Well I been seeing lots of topics on the forums be place out their to help combat cloakers in their systems or just people who like to hide for hours with out need of moving ....

So at this point I think even the cloakers should have too keep warping in order not to be found. If they sit in one spot more then 5 mins, their scan able? How easy should it be well not so easy.... so this how it would look in a picture book...

CLOAK ----> WARPS TO SAFE SPOTS! ----> STOPS WARPING!!! <----- WITHIN 5 MINS OF NOT WARPING

SCANNING BEGINS ----> FOUND FOOT STEPS!!!! LET FOLLOW THEM!!!! ------> 100% SCAN WARP, CLOAK'S BOOM!

Get the idea? why allow them to just sit in one spot? Point is if you stop warping over a 5 min period you will be scan able!

Something about making cloaking run on a mining timer I think.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

I think she wants to be able to scan down AFK cloakers.

Cloaked ships are like nuclear submarines. If they don't move they can't be found. Its a great game dynamic that allows people to bio, grab a beer, do a little wife faction, and get back to the game at a pace that accommodates RL.

I love my cloak and very much prefer doctrines that include one just because it helps to balance RL. If that afk time makes people in game nervous then good! You should be nervous while playing in Eve.

People keep inventing reasons why there is a reason to be afraid of afk clockers... Ugh

Do we have an EVE shrink around?

1) Cloaks leave a 5 minute delayed signature that can be scanned down. If they stand still, the scanner will land right on top of them. If they move straight, the scanner can follow the line and may end up in the same grid as them.

2) Special Ping module makes cloaked ships in a certain radius 'pong' for half a second, yielding a visual and audio cue*. Cycle time is some 20-30 seconds. If the cloak stands still, it will be easy to find, if it moves straight, it can be followed, caught up with and proximity uncloaked.

So, if you are cloaked, you better move and change direction regularly, lest they'll find you if they put effort into finding you.

The way you fix afk cloakers is to uninstall the game.....or don't look at local. What you can't see won't bother you.

OP, i think you should take a leaf out of the cloakers book and just sit there for hours and days on end and do nothing.....that includes posting on the forums.

I actually love this thread. Its like the Evening Primrose in my garden, it keeps coming up in places that I don't really want it, but its kind of cool so I let it stay.

How will I extract tears from nullbears? AFK cloaking allows me to catch ratters who otherwise instawarp to safety when I enter system. Stop trying to force me to play your game!

This exact idea has been discussed in-depth a countless number of times. It is always shot down. Do a search in future and post in an already existing thread.

And yet you felt compelled to make another one. Ugh

Does one cloaky in a low/null system REALLY shut it down? BRB going to train Covert Ops.
