Okay this might sound stupid, But if you can't fly Carriers in Highsec why do people sell them in Jita, Dodixie and amarr and people buy them?, if you can't fly them in Highsec why buy them in there?

where did you see these things up for sale? any capitals that are in high sec would certainly not be sold in jita. you might be seeing them in those system because they are in the same region as a low sec system that has them in the market.

its a collectors item kind of thing. Have the isk to blow, why the hell not buy something cool.


Same can be said for other items like mine bpo's, and the rare rare ships. Guardian vexor, state raven and the AT prize ships. If I had the isk to blow on a freki I'd buy it. Jsut to have ti. Sure as hell would not pvp in it. And I know unless I am consistently good in pvp when I fly for fun in empire lots of gankers would take the sec hit just to have it for a killmail. Same with the Guardian vexor....I am not a empire ganker but for the cool factor of being on its mail, I might change that for jsut one gank lol.

Also you can fly the carriers in empire. In before the chribba nutswingers check in but you can mine in them if so desired. You jsut can't jump them and iirc either they cannot do combat or if you use for combat ccp will take away your rare empire edition toy.

I'm aware that they exist in eve because of the bug? that happened shortly after they were introduced. but that's what I mean. I really don't think he would have seen one of those thing up for sale since they don't sell on the market, generally they don't even sell on contracts, they are sold on the forums and then privately contracted to the person from the forum that buys it.

If i remember correct you were able to build capital ships in highsec when they were introduced.
Maybe it´s just some leftovers.

I have seen a Rorqual for sale in highsec, but generally it's just buy orders for capitals. There are always buy orders for all types of capitals and supercapitals. THESE ARE NOT SELL ORDERS.

I'd be very surprised to see a rorqual in highsec as they were introduced well after they put a stop to capital building in high sec.

as was said about it was previously possible to build capital ships in high sec and those that are still there now are the remnants of that.

They are given special permission by CCP to remain in high sec on the condition that they are not used for combat.

several ways to have capital in high.

leftovers from the time they could be built there

ship replacement by CCP (hence why we had a titan in RENS during incarna protestation)

and i heard about wormholes, but i also heard CCP fixed that so it shouldn't be possible to pass a cap in a WH leading to high, even if mass should allow it (to be confirmed).

also about the jumping part, you cannot jump TO high sec (cause you cannot light cyno in high), but i would assume that provided you are in range, you could jump FROM high to low / null (just like JF does)

They can jump out easily, just not in.

still 2 possibilitys for a rorqual to end up in high, see my previous post.

i would assume tho that now, it is not possible to bring new cap in high, WH thingy is said to be fixed, and replacement for caps are done in low.

but against mechanics thing could happen from time to time, when we bought our super, there was an issue in a low whit an item that refused to unfit (it was repaired and all), we petitionned, and after unfiting it, CCP docked and repackaged the super, so we had a super in station, repackaged ^^

we were given 5 min before they ejected the super from station so we fitted it and were ejected from station by the GM

Were they actually for sale in those systems... or were they visible within the regions sale orders?

Huge difference... since any carrier sold in Jita's region (that has low sec systems) will be visible from Jita...

Eve is about Capital ships, WiS, Boobs, PI and Isk!
