Mission Agent Question

Lately I've been running level 4's in a station with 2 level 4 Security Agents.

After cancelling several missions from 1 of the 2 agents in the station, my standing with him tanked to -2.1
Corp standing for me at the station is still in the high 7's and with the other agent there as well.

I'm just curious if theres a way to gain standing with the agent I pissed off. I thought after running a few dozen missions, he would be happy with me again, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

Is that agent never going to be happy with me again?
That particular agents standing doesn't seem to be changing even though my standing with the agent and corp at that station is continuing to increase.

The only way to recover tanked agent standings is to share mission payouts with someone that agent still likes until you're back up over -2.

It's stuff like this that seems both strange and overly complicated when you go from other games and play EVE online. Instead of streamlining (at least some things takes a lot longer than others) they're happy letting things be complicated and strange, like the overview.

i like complicated. complicated is good. now back to playing dwarf fortress without addons.
