I downloaded EVE_Online_Installer_514947 and its just sitting there showing me a strange "asian symbol" then "d2"
been trying to get eve going again for days. Any ideas? anyone? I tried the "repair" tool on another client and it just sits at "1/7 Downloading index: Initializing ...
been there for hours. please help me

If you absolutely don't have your previous EVE installation, try the offline installer.
But really, you only need to run repair tool.
