I yawned when I heard about burn jita 2.0

I took part in the first one and enjoyed but like lots of people in this thread I couldn't be arsed for the second. Has it finally happened? Have the goons become uncool?

Dumbing down of Eve Online will result in it's destruction...

When Burn Jita was announced I didn’t know what to expect. I read some posts about last year’s Burn Jita event but wasn’t there to experience it myself (I started playing EvE after last year’s event).

Or how fast some people lock on – with my setup my signature resolution was at 2.6k and it helped, but some people beat me with ease, it seemed.
Or why it is a good idea to keep some range (at least 6km) to those smartbombing BS – one of them almost got me … put me into structure before I made my getaway.
Or how long it takes for Concord to show up (5-6 sec in 1.0, correct?);
and much else.

And on top of it I had the opportunity to get on some killmails courtesy of Goons and friends (tbh only one of the kills was an “honest” 2 on 1, most of the others involved Concord or a larger number of other players – but it looks good on first glance, doesn’t it? Cool).

Glad you had a good time! Woulda been fun to get in on one of the freighter kills as well, but each person plays the game their way. Now that you have a taste, try some more new things!

*sigh* There seems to be a misunderstanding. Being ganked in Jita by goons is not having a blast, that is you being blasted and the goons having a blast. You're supposed to avoid it.
