Why should it take so long when an account is hacked?

It should be as simple as opening IP address logs, finding the ip of which opend the account, following to see if tis the same (or similar i know nto everyone have statics, but if you tracert it it goes to the same place/company)

Finding the point of which the forign ip access the account, and issuing a rollback to that point, and a SP re-embursment for the time in between there and the time the account is usable by the owner again.


I'm all for CCP's re-shuffle of staff.... but not at the expense of the GMS's that handle eve's petitions!


To take a page from my days as a T-Mobile rep: if a customer called and disputed a charge on their bill, they had to point to the specific time and date that they want to dispute; the call records of a given account can have anywhere from two to seven hundred calls listed. We can't take the time to search the entire seven-hundred call list for that one single erroneous charge.

At any given time, EVE has about twenty to forty thousand people online. Finding one single IP address among the other 39,999 people playing would take days, if not weeks or months. And even then, it has to be investigated to make sure it's not user error or system malfunction.

I can't get rid of my darn signature!  Oh, wait....
