In-Game Events and Gatherings

I am looking to gauge the interest in a mammoth mining op.

I was mostly sitting around mining and bored out of my head. I am a one man corp, and i have only had limited success in getting other solo miners to fleet for bonuses. I think I had three on a good day.

I was thinking, if all the griefers have their big day with Hulkageddon. What's the opposite? Where's the carebears big day?

Here is what I am envisioning. It's nothing special, gather as many miners in one system as we possibly can, take every last 'roid from every belt and then move on. That's it. Just like a swarm of locusts....

I see it as an all day event, with scanning ships for hidden belts. We would start in high sec, with hauler/orca support. Corps can remain fleeted with corpies, or whatever. As long as we organized into fleets and can be fleet warped and not have solo stragglers going WTF, where'd everybody go. Then it's on to the next system, then the next system etc.

The systems can be random, wherever the solar wind takes us, or can be generated just before the event is about to start, to prevent the hulk poppin' baddies from laying a trap for us.

If/when we move to low/null sec, I think we should all change into skiffs. If they are properly fitted they have 65.5k EHP. That number will change depending on fleet bonuses. In low and null, with say 50 skiffs, all armored to the gills. That's 250 drones there will be need of command ships to give bonuses etc and combat/webber/scram support. The main goal would be to mine out the systems and try and survive as long as possible, or successfully repulse our attackers again, and again. Even if everyone had 4 combat drones and ONE armor maintenance drone or someone sets up a hospital ship that was armored to the gills and had remote reppers and repper drones.

Anyway. That's it. An annual or biannual event with the goal, to try and take out all the asteroids in eve. Lots to discuss. Details to hammer out etc. There should be lots of merriment and drinking and no drama. We can set a future date to make sure everyone's low sec ore skills are up.
