Tooth and claw and rage and rail
overheated guns are the holy grail.
Hero pointing and hoping the corp
can arrive in time to prevent a warp
Orbiting the target at optimal range
projectile fire, a fierce exchange.
the guys arrive and a bubble drops
Maximum deeps till the target pops
warping away to a safe in space
jumping the hole it's now a race.
Deploy a carrier, get the big fleet
do we go forward, do we retreat?
Balls to the wall and fire at will
the only thing that counts is a kill.
Never mind the alarms that wail
that your structure is about to fail.
keep on firing till your guns run dry
Meet the reaper and spit in his eye!!

It takes a pilot with strength and skill
to meet the challenge, to make the kill.
If you can fleet up at the drop of a hat
and don't just think that you are all that,
You could be the pilot we're looking for
come on now you know the score.
Talk to a recruiter and talk to the crew
sign on the line and join us for pew!!

Welcome, high sec wardeccers, low sec gankbears, nullbears, newbie pilots, and bitter vets

Welcome indeed to the Serene Vendetta recruitment symposium. Please hold all your questions to the end of my presentation as they may be answered to your satisfaction during it.

Serene vendetta is a Wormhole corporation living in a C5-C5 Static wormhole.

What does this mean in real terms?

It means an excellent opportunity to make lots of isk and then lose it all in a blazing inferno of incoming fire. That is the bottom line; the quintessential essence of wormhole life. If that doesn't sound like fun, then you are probably in the wrong recruitment post, and should move on.

Still with me? excellent.

For the rabid frothing at the laser mount, industrial points will never cross my skillqueue PVPrs amongst you, please amuse yourselves while I briefly explain how we make isk in the hole

There are a lot of resources to be gathered in a wormhole. Gas mining is pretty lucrative, so the ability to fly a venture or a prospect is handy. Its your call. Don't want to waste training time on bearpoints? Its up to you.

There's mining, which is high risk in a wormhole due to game mechanics. If you want to mine, we recommend something cheap like a retriever. Once again, its your call. Be prepared to replace your ships often.

Running the sites

Most of the sites take skill, cunning, attention to the scanning overview and at least one friend. recommended ships are marauders, so you should be fairly skilled in those if you want to take this isk making route.

Some sites, the infamous escalation sites, require coordination, attention to your overview, and a fair amount of skill. Recommended ships are T3 cruisers, Dreadnaughts, Carriers and EW. The isk per hour reward here is very good, but its tempered by the risk factor. Ask the top three wormhole corporations how many capitals they've killed by ragerolling into an escalation fleet if you don't believe me. I would recommend that you are able to fly one or more of the types of ships I've mentioned. You'll need the isk to purchase PvP ships.

T3 Manufacture

This is done within the Brawls deep alliance with items salvaged from data and relic sites. Once again, its your call. You'll need the ship skills to either solo these in lower class wormholes or fleet up to do them in higher.

There are other methods of earning isk in the hole, but the ones I've listed are the most lucrative.

Now if you PVPrs will stop waving your leets around and pay attention, I shall now cover pyrotechnics

PVP

Wormhole corporations are primarily PVP organisations. If they are unable to fight, they get crushed and ejected from WH space. Wormholes are classic Darwinian environments. Adapt, Overcome, or Die.

To that end. You will at a minimum need to be able to fly t3 cruisers. Capital skills are also welcome. Other ship requirements would depend on the nature of the fleet and the nature of the op/roam/doctrine.

Wormholes provide a perfect route for lowsec and nullsec raids. Drop into local space, watch the bears run, hunt them down, kill them and then drop back into wormhole space. Honesty compels me to admit that it doesn't always work out that way, but hey, its PVP.

Ragerolling.

The art of rolling your hole till you find another wormhole corporation to muller. Get a fleet, roll the hole hunt for targets, get them before they get you. This usually starts at a few ships and can end with a full capital fleet deployment. Balls to the wall.
Low skill pilots do not survive.

Due to wormhole mechanics there are no mother ships in wormhole space to worry about, so there's no I Win button. The natural limitation to wormhole warfare is the mass of the wormhole. Its no use jumping a fleet of caps through a wormhole if by doing so you close the hole behind you; the technical name for a fleet that does this is "Targets of opportunity". There's different wormhole effects that change the nature of the defending and attacking fleets. In brief, you need to be able to calculate the mass of a wormhole and what that means in terms of deployable assets, and you need to know how the various wormhole effects will help or hinder your proposed fleet, and you need to be able to do this on the fly. The biggest blob is not necessarily the best blob.

Wolf roams

Quite a few of our pilots prefer loan wolf roams or roams with a partner through Low and Null hunting for targets of opportunity. Quite a few capital kills have been made by lone wolf pilots calling in a t3 fleet on carriers ratting in null. Quite a few t3 ships have been killed by carrier pilots screaming for help and the fleet getting hot dropped. Its a risk. Its PVP.

In Summary

We are looking for pilots able to work individually or as part of a close knit team.
Pilots not averse to risk.
Pilots who can take the loss of an expensive ship and not emo rage quit.
Pilots looking for all forms of gang warfare from small to large, and escalated capital warfare.
Pilots able to isk whore to replace losses. (If you use plex instead that's between you and your bank manager)
Pilots willing after an expensive loss to reship and go brawls deep again.

Thank you for mainly staying awake through my presentation. Are there any questions? Oh my goodness so many hands.

You sir. You with the neckbeard and the kebab stain on your iron maiden tshirt. your question please.

Planetary Interaction? Yes we have a fairly good set of planets in our home hole, and the POCOs are taxed at 5%. Its steady but boring isk.

You Sir, with the leather miniskirt and the lipstick. Oh. Really? Sorry Madam, your question?

AH. Tax. Right. Currently our tax rate is 10% of all isk made while you are in the corp. PI is exempt this tax as it is already taxed at the POCO.

That's all we have time for. So until tomorrow I wish you all profitable flying

After yesterdays wall of text, a wall of poetry.

They say that Hard knocks are the business
they say that NOHO are pretty damned cool.
They say that LAZERHAWKS are pew worthy,
And RAGNAROK's killboard made people drool.

What will they say about us my corp mates?
as long as six months to a year from now.
Will they say we brought the fight regardless,
and fielded as much as the hole would allow?

Will they say instead that we were craven,
that we usually failed to put up a fight?
Will they look back on our fall from glory
and highlight our failings with delight?

Will they look upon us with awe and wonder,
an example of what a wormhole corp should be?
or will they think of us as the antithesis,
and then engineer our eviction with glee?

We are not nullbears with thier iskwhoring
We are not lowsec piracey scum.
We dont go ganking freighters in hisec
We heed the sound of a worthier drum.

We are the fell reavers of bobs wormhole,
and all that flies is considered our prey.
We will follow where our wormhole leads us,
the better to feed on their tears of dismay.

There you go. Now get off your arses and get ye over to Serene Recruitment Channel

I see you looking at my scars lass,
and weighing the worth of the man.
I see you checking out my flight suit;
ribbons saying I fought, but never ran.

I'd tell you of the bright play of lasers
as the fleet fought at Old Man Star.
I see you still looking at me with envy,
simply because I've travelled so far.

You see the awards and the merits,
and you think that's what its about.
Once I might have agreed with you,
but now? all I'm left with is my doubt.

I've left friends begging for mercy,
as they burned alive in their shells.
I've poured fire into merchantmen,
just to profit the goddamned cartels.

I've survived the rigours of K space;
hunted the depths of the unknown.
I've lost good friends to the reaper,
and I've been through many a clone.

You see the bright coloured patches,
and then you see the isk that I spend.
You see what you want to see my girl,
but in fact you still fail to comprehend.

I have lived through the centuries,
and I have fought for many a goal.
Somewhere along the way though,
along with innocence, I lost my soul.

Pod Pilots view

I look at them down there,
with their petty concerns;
their self importance.
insignificant beings
on a ball of mud.

I watch their lives unfold,
along well worn paths;
tired and lacklustre.
Originality forbidden;
broken and bowed.

Numbers uncountable,
as if any would care;
downtrodden helots.
Powerless moles;
lost to the night.

Right, now I've got that out of my system.

Listen up people.

I've been getting a lot of people lately applying to the corp; most with extremely low survivability prospects. It breaks my heart to have to turn them away. It does, it really does: however accepting their applications, watching them lose ship after ship without the ability or funds to replace them, watching them grow more despondent before, unable to take it any more they quit the corp, would be far worse. Trust me on that.

So.

C5 wormholes are not kindergartens. Anyone you meet in a wormhole not belonging to your corp/alliance WILL try to kill you. Even alliances and corps you are on good terms with WILL try to kill you. Its not personal, its the wormhole way. Expect to lose ships. Expect to lose expensive ships. Expect to lose expensive ships regularly.

All C5-C6 class wormhole corps value PvP experience over PvE. Pure PvE characters need not apply. We need people who can stop isk whoring when the fleet form up call goes out. If isk is the only thing you are looking for in a wormhole, please move on and don't waste my time.

A lot of people are applying with non existent scanning skills. Seriously? Its a WORMHOLE. There are no jumpgates, no stations, no asteroid belts all hanging in space waiting for you to right click on them. You need to be able to scan, unless you expect others to do it for you, which they might for a while, before introducing you to the corp exit strategy. Scan, Scan and Scan some more. Scanning is the first step in content creation. Without scanning there is nothing. Learn to scan.

PVE in wormholes is not the poor bland tasteless affair it is in the other regions of eve. Get it even slightly wrong, and its buy a new ship time. All wormhole corps have a lot of experience in PVE. They know what works and what does not. This is why when you apply we will run your skills against our requirements. If you show a lot more red than green, your application will be rejected. No one wants to fly with someone who will, by their lack of skills, get themselves and possibly others killed running an anomaly.

Wormholes are about teamwork. If you are the sort of lone wolf who does not play well with others, the incoming fire you experience may well be blue.

If you are convinced of your leet PVP omnipotence and dismiss other peoples experience as beneath you, then once again the incoming fire you experience may well be blue.

If you are a complete prick on teamspeak (semi is ok, just not complete), the incoming fire you WILL experience will be blue.

If you cheat, scam, or steal from the corp or a corp mate. not only will the incoming fire be blue, but we will blacklist you, all your known alts, and quite possible put a contract out on you or the corp you join next. NO wormhole corp will take a pilot black listed for theft. We have lots of isk and long memories.

If we find out that you are a spy... see above, but with added vindictiveness.

In brief.

IF you are the sort of pilot who, is willing to listen, willing to learn, meets a decent portion of our ship requirements, can work well in a group or on their own, has the ability to replace their ship losses, loves PVP but is not adverse to the odd weak moment of isk whoring, is applying with your MAIN, has at least 25 mill skill points, and can scan for gods sake, then you may well be the pilot we are looking for.

Look at your skills, look at what you want out of eve, think about what you actually have to offer a wormhole corporation.

Consider the fact that you will be moving to an environment that will try its level best to kill you, and that once out of the home hole there are no safe havens, no stations, and that the landscape itself is mutable; that hole you jumped through 20 minutes earlier may well not be there, or a wandering wormhole has just connected to your home hole and a ravening horde of wormholers has just ragerolled through it, caught your escalation fleet on the hop, and caused enough ship destruction to make even chribba himself cry.

Wormholes are not for everyone, but after reading my post, examining your motivation in applying, and considering carefully all that I have said, you think you have what it takes, then please feel free to apply.

Thank you for your time.

You would do yourself a favor to avoid these guys.

Been looking into C5 wh corps for a few months. Found one that I thought would work great for me..

Went to POS Party (members of same alliance) recruitment channel and simply asked what the number of current active players in the hole was, to gauge their activity... something any competent player would ask when wanting to join a wh corp.

They just stonewalled me and then started trolling as if I was a member of the fleet that had just entered their hole a few hours before and handed their a.s.s.e.s to them... so they clearly are not very good at wh-ing. Then they just refused to communicate.

Avoid Serene Vendetta as well. Same treatment and attitude as POS Party.

Interesting.

The first words of this man to serene vendetta were basically an insult, so he received an instant ban from our recruitment channel, and his details forwarded to other corporations we know.

His attitude stinks, his communications were insulting, and personally I pity the corp he decides to "grace" with his presence.

We don't work with complete asshats. Semi is O.K but this guy tipped the scales to the point known as overheated asshattery.

Lecture - The Importance of Scanning - Declassified excerpt from opening speech
CWO 4 Hector Munez - Intelligence Wing - Caldari Military Acadamy

Now, I know I'm banging on like a nymphomaniacs headboard about scanning, but a lot of you out there seem to think that getting the basic scanning skill to 1 or 2 is enough.

Ladies and Gentlemen, it is not enough.

Yeah, you can fly T3. You are a Capital God. Your roaming skills are legendary. Your poo smells faintly of jasmine and tea tree oil. That is irrelevant. If you can't scan using combat probes, and the art of the DSCAN is a total mystery to you, then for all intents and purposes you are useless to this institution and should enrol in ground forces instead.

Many of you, upon graduation will be assigned to units in Concorde controlled space, some of you will be assigned to areas of low Concorde influence, a few may well be assigned to areas Concorde fears to tread and for that I salute you. The best of you, those with fire in their eyes and ice in their bones, will be assigned to wormhole space, and to those very few of you I say this --

"Scanning is the single most important skill for a pilot beyond the event horizon. It helps you find targets, helps you make isk to repair battle damage, and helps you out of a tight spot if necessary. Scanning is the Swiss army knife of Piloting Skills. If you cant scan, you cant contribute; It's that simple."

Over the next several weeks, my section and I will introduce you to the various modules, probes and scanning techniques available to you.

First up - the combat scanner probe.......

Declassified report of Cov-ops pilot (redacted)

As instructed I followed the Amarr ship into the wormhole and stayed under emission control measures while keeping my beady eye on them. Things were quiet till they transmitted their usual message of sweetness and light. Then the world fell in on them. Close to 50 of what I can only assume to be drones appeared and fired into that battle cruiser. It didn't even last two salvoes. I intercepted some short burst encrypted comms chatter that looked like it could have been gallentean in origin. If that's the case I think we've found where their failed pet science project went. Once the drones finished picking through the wreckage, I went EVA, recovered the Bridge log, and got my skinny arse out of there.
