Used to work as a salvager with Pro Synergy and can confirm they're legit.

If you want to find out just join their channel and ask some of the mission runners in there. It works well for mission grinders as they get more cash by running faster, and the people who salvage get a steady source of income which works well for low-SP pilots who need isk.

It's not all perfect, they tend to stick to a few major mission hubs and surrounding areas (but will come out further sometimes if it's not busy or you pre-arrange it with them) and sometimes depending when you run missions and when the salvagers are online you can find nobody is about to clean up your wrecks. (but I know for a fact a lot of the corp go out of their way to try to ensure this doesn't happen)

Basically I'd advise anyone who's serious about grinding lvl4's or wants to earn isk as a salvager to look them up. I left as I wanted to go try other things in EVE, but I'd definitely recommend them.

On my Level 4 mission alt, I first used to ignore my wrecks (was in a Maelstrom)

I then moved in to Pro Synergy's area of ops, started contracting them my wrecks, confirm it's legit and I got paid out.

BUT then I switched from a Mael to a Tempest Fleet Issue (after Minnie BS V, you get pretty much the same DPS).

Now I warp in to a missions, deploy salvage drones, start blasting rats, and use tractor beams in my 2 utility high slots to slurp in wrecks and cans. TFI is fast enough to quickly pick up wrecks floating 50-60km away with AB and the tractor beams, without significantly harming your ISK/hr.

Using a fast BS with utility highs as a mini-Marauder means I don't need to come back in a Noctis, or lose 55% of my loot to ProSynergy.

Now, I just fly my salvage loot back to Jita in a shuttle, while my meta-module and drone loot is building up to contract to Proo Synergy's Bag o Loot service for 90% payout to me....

Hi there, if your going to leave behind your own wrekcs might i suggest that you employ the services of ProSynergy and have them salvage the sites for you. You get to keep 45% of the profit from selling/refining loot (45 to the salvager, 45 to the customer and 10 to the corp).

Just join channel ProSynergy and ask about. Theres also a website i think its www.prosynergyeve.com

hf & fly safe

I tried out the Pro Synergy service for the first time yesterday. I had no idea how much ISK I was leaving on the field. Its not worth my time to salvage as opposed to taking another mission. It was easy get my stuff looted and salvaged and will be a nice payday at the end of the week.

Although the above statements aren't wrong, none of them mentioned the reason some of us ALWAYS loot/salvage missions and that is Manufacturing. And I must either be lucky or in the right place in space because I can usually walk away from a normal 3 pocket LvL 4 with 8-15 mil of sellables (I only sell anything worth 500K+), 5-10 mil of refined minerals, and 4-7 mil of salvage parts. The T1 Rigs I build from those Salvage parts are worth an ave 100% more than if I sold the Salvage on the market. The minerals obviously takes longer to build up before you can build anything of decent value, but it's an average of 25% more than dumping them on market. I also ave 1-3 meta 4 modules per run which can be as much as 7mil per (not usually this much).

I do the Noctis/2nd account route as well but I jump in about 1 min after my main starts eating the ships and loot/salvage WHILE I'm killing. The Noctis adds a tiny bit of DPS via Drones and can tank (properly fit) half dozen ships easy. For those who would say to use Salvage Drones with the Noctis, obviously your Salvage skill and/or Ore Industrial skill isn't very high. I split TB/Salvagers (both T2) 4/4 on Noctis with ZERO Rigs/Imps for Salvage and I often can't tractor them in fast enough even with LvL 4 Ore Indy. Salvage Drones are slow as molasses. I can tractor/salvage 5-7 wrecks to 1 that the drones do at the same ranges. Also I should note that my main DPS ship does plenty of dmg since I run mostly against Angels which affords me the ability to use Blasters therefore gaining MUCH higher DPS than LOL-Rails or Cruise ships. My Sentries pull the packs in, my Blasters eat them, rinse-repeat.

Edit: Forgot to mention I also have high Connection skills for the 4s I run so the LP is actually well worth it (+4 Imps sell VERY well).

I use an alt with a Paladin: http://eve.battleclinic.com/loadout/65141-Paladin-Books-Pally2013-retribution-1-1.html

I lock 7 targets on field and 3 wrecks, Shoot and loot while salvage drones salvage what they can before I warp off.

1500 DPS for big missions I usually end up looting 90-100% of wrecks and salvaging about 50% (thats for big missions)
shoot and loot on one account.

Once fleeted with a guy in a tachy pally, man, leme tell you angels extrava ended in like 15 min including last room, didn't even care about triggers salvaged maybe 20% looted the whole place, so yes, noctis sucks unless you have low skills/ISK

Yup noctis sucks. In the beginning I was oh good worthy ship. Then I calculated the times and starting a new mission profit so it was wasted time using noctis. And yes I got paid from pro synergy exactly 45%from missions as promised since they have great tools and calculators to get paid .

Hi guys,
After 200 level 4 missions and owning a noctis I have looted and salvaged a lot of missions until i realized it's wasted time. The best loot was 30m (once)with salvaging included and all others 5-15m max. After I calculated the time needed for looting and salvaging and the time required to start and finish new mission the isk/hour is far better with only missions.Really really regret buying noctis.

Well I find I ussually get 20-25 mil worth of loot and salvage, with about the same in bounties, Some missions are a little more. Basically loot and salvage is generally 1/3 to 1/2 of my mission income. If salvaging took the same time as running the mission, then yes, just running missions would be more isk/hr. I find salvaging with a noctis very fast. Especially with the new salvage drones, provided you know how to use them.

Salvage drones are a little tricky to get them to work properly. if you launch them and manually set them a target they will salvage that target and then wait for another target. I think this is a bug, but whatever. If you launch the salvage drones with no target locked, and set them to salvage, they will auto salvage every blue and white wreck within range, I have been surprised at how quickly they clear a room.

Salvaging with drones is so efficient I have dropped my Noctis down to only 2 salvagers and 6 tractor beams. In missions where loot is not worth much I can afk the Noctis and the drones do all the work while I clear the next room. If you do not need drones on your combat ship to clear rats, throw salvage drones on there, I have never seen them pull any agro. by the time you clear the room the drones will have salvaged most of the wrecks. I can see leaving the loot, but there is no reason to leave the salvage.

There are of course the rare missions where you are fighting ships from another faction rather than pirates. These missions you have to loot as the tags and loot are the only pay off, the ships have no bounties.

Perhaps your problem is you are just not very efficient with your noctis, you should be able to fully loot and salvage a mission in 10 minutes or less, while running another missions will take 20-30 minutes at best. Even if your loot and salvage is only half the bounty and mission payout, if you do it in less than half the time you are still further ahead to loot and salvage.
