I need a plan of action guys Ive got my skill points spread into a lot of different areas. im doing lvl 3s right now but want to get into lvl 4s asap. I have more drone skills than anything else so I Bought a dominix and a rattlesnake but I Don't think my current skills are near good enough to jump into lvl 4s. I need someone to point me to some kind of a priority on what to train lol. thanks heres a link to my character.

If you want to fly your domi, i would suggest training your gallente battleship skill to 3 or 4 since the Ship bonuses usually gives the highest increase. Also make sure to be able to fit t2 tank with mission specific hardeners. About actually flying a domi i don't know since i don't really fly gallente. Although the combat drone skills could probably use some polishing.

You need:

More Drone skills
Armor Comps to IV
Battle Ship skill at IV orV

Gunnery needs improvement, for T2 Large Hybrids, though that is not really what a mission Domi is all about.
Don't (DON'T!!) fly the Rattle just yet... Do missions with a friend or 2 until you get experience.

Time to commit to some skills at level V. Focus on 1 ship and stick with that for awhile.

What was described here is more of a longer-term goal rather than entry level requirement.

From my experience, I've got into lvl4 with most skills being at level 3 or so, then I continued training to the point I wasn't as unefficient as I was with my low entry skills.

That said, If you plan to go with lvl 3-4 skills and meta4 guns (it actually works most of the time), you need to be extremely careful with missions you accept. Underskilled character won't be able to take on toughest lvl4 missions.

And ofc you will do them slowly with such skills and hardware, but hey, it's still mostly better than level 3 missions. Just remember that at this point you are just trying new waters and there are many ways to improve further.

At first go overtanked, I'd say, especially when we are talking about armor setups with tank and gank mods being interchangeable.
Try to fit MJD every time you can if you are going to try some mission you're not sure you can handle. So far I haven't seen any reports that rats can scram (they DO point, but they don't shut your MWD/MJD) and you can use your MJD to escape tricky situations to avoid loss. Pay attention and you'll be mostly fine.

Speaking of your future hardware you will use later when you have better skills and general idea on lvl4 missions, I believe that at this point all-gank shield Navy Domi will be in a better position than Rattlesnake due to ridiculous DPS it can spew out in its PvE fit, but you should only get one when you have very good skills in order to make the most out of it and survive. You need to know what are you doing before commiting like that, but that should go without saying. But keep in mind that CCP is going to change Domi and possibly Navy Domi when expansion hits, and maybe wait for it before making decisions and planning your skills for it. Actually, same applies to Rattlesnake, but we know nothing on its future right now.

Oh, and don't forget to train Military connections skill to 3 or 4 to increase your LP gain.

just train everything that increases your drone's damage and fit a MJD, that's what the domi does: blow up everything at 100km+ and MJD away if it gets close.

So essential skills for this would be:

gallente bs V
weapon upgrades IV (tech 2 drone damage amps)
drone interfacing V
sentry drone interfacing V
micro jump drive operation I
repair systems IV (you won't really take that much damage bu just in case)
hull upgrades V (again just in case)
xxx armour compensation IV (more security)
drone sharpshooting V (tech 2 omnis and more range for sentries)
Electronic warfare drone interfacing IV (or 5, depends how far you want to shoot in the end)
scout drone operation V (max out your drone control range)
combat drone operation V (tech 2 drone links are extra 4km drone control range, you'll be using 2 so 8km more)
remote armour repair systems I-IV (rep drones from whatever damage they might take)
target painting I-IV (make it easier for your drones to hit stuff)

gun skills imo take a back seat to these, your rails will be pretty pathetic unless you manage to squeeze 425s and use spike.

Curator II x5
Garde II x5
Warden II x5

this is what i would use if I had perfect skills. Extremely cheap and effective. 898 combined dps with gardes that hit to 52km, 698 with wardens that hit to 130km, rails reach to 130+30 with spike.

targeting range is 133km.

Cap shouldnt be an issue as you almost never need to use local reps and only need to use remote reps "sometimes" (with certain rats that can hit over 80km).

Drone control range is 108km, can extend to 132km by swapping out a gun for another DLA II but shouldnt be necessary.

Has some fitting room also so AWU V not required.

Guns can be downgraded to t1 and use iron ammo (115+30 range)

if you already have a rattlesnake, you may as well use it. get both battleship skills to 4, throw on a solid passive shield tank and some cruise launchers and go to town. as soon as your tank is solid, you should train for t2 sentries and polish your drone skills in general, as missions are mostly about dps and not tank.

I should buy an Ishtar.
