There is a eve scene on twitch. I watch twitch streams from time to time when bored doing things in games... While playing eve I looked into eve streams and found "http://www.twitch.tv/sirsqueebles". I started to watch/listen while doing missions and other carebear stuff. Then one day I decided to join one of his roams which consists of just viewers. At the time I had next to no pvp experience but that did not matter since most of the fleet was like that, YET Sirsqueebles made it work. We got a few kills and lost a few ships but most of all it was fun!

Soon after I started joining in more often and then it hit me... I had stopped my carebear ways and was hooked on fleet pvp.

Everytime he streams new people come in and start watching and asking questions about eve and most of the time they sign up just to join in on the roams. After about a month and a bit we noticed a figure in the crowds and his name was "CCP_Bro". He would constantly show up and say how he enjoyed the stream and "we" as viewers talked to him about Eve things and it was great!

Then CCP_Bro set up a Q&A with Sirsqueebles which included CCP_Fozzie and CCP_Bro.

After a while of the norm viewer roams and such there was another great Q&A with CCP_Rise aka Kil2.

Now when Sirsqueebs streams he gets roughly 100 viewers constantly, which spikes up when we are about to get stream snipped.

Atm Sirsqueebs does not stream much since he is spending time with his corp "Ubiquitous Hurt" but still you will find him on every other day doing stuff and helping new players as much as he can.

Drop by and view the other highlights and you will see fights. Not the most epic battles or the leetest players in eve. But new players to pvp flying under the wing of Sirsqueebles and doing amazing work.

Sorry for plugging the stream in the thread but as a major fan of Sir and Carka "Another streamer and member of "Uhurt" I feel the need to post about it.

Anyone and everyone is welcome in the fleets no matter experience or SP. Most fleets consist of BC's and below but sometimes BS's too. If you cannot afford better ships you are very much welcomed to fly fast tackle frigs and be apart of the fleet. We sometimes use T1 logi if there is enough people and rarely if never use ECM.

***Teamspeak is a must!

Play EvE how you want to play it and do not let others dictate how you play. Evolve your playstyle to protect yourself from others! Even in "PVE", "PVP" is there, lurking in the shadows.

There is a market for streaming on Twitch, I just don't think it is what you want it to be. Squeebs and madani have good streams.

I myself stream from time to time, though I focus more on helping new players or answering questions for those that want to get into the game, but have never been able due to its complexity.

Really the streams that get the views are the ones that cover big events, or the person seems to be popular already within the game (at least that is what I've noticed). Interaction with the people that watch via chat tends to pull more people in as well.

Then it is as I feared, we have already lost.

Star Citizen won't offer meaningful PvP, the game is based completely on hype, and will be a distant memory in the near future after its release.

What do you mean? I read a quote somewhere that the Star Citizen thought EVE's clone mechanic too lenient and hinted on permadeath or at least a very good reason to eject from your ship in order to escape death.

That said, I find fighter space combat silly as in reality, space combat will be about long distance combat over many kilometers, but it doesn't mean my lack of interest in Star Citizen will make it any less successful.

Looking to talk on VOIP with other EVE players? Are you new and need help with EVE (welfare) or looking for advice? Looking for adversarial debate with angry people?
