The problem i have with Mittani as the head of the CSM is that he is a high-profile alliance leader, and i doubt that he would agree with changes for the sake of balance, if said changes were to somehow interfere with his own alliance, or disagree with changes that would affect his enemies more than it would his own ally. He cannot have an impartial opinion on most subjects he deals with as a CSM member.

But unfortunatly that is in the nature of the CSM election. Besides being chairman doesnt mean he gets the final word, only that he gets to pass it on. This CSM has some very good members, like seleene and white tree, and i trust their judgement.

This is foolish and uninformed. Goonswarm has one of the largest supercap fleets in the game, as well as some of the largest technetium holdings. I've vehemently advocated for nerfing both, loudly and in public.

You're welcome to spew your tinfoil theories though.

But you are happy to manipulate the game , such as attacking ice miners for your own gains.. Your words will not make any difference to peoples opinion of you.

Why shouldn't he attack ice miners?

Oh god i wondered when you was going to show up, to the usual trolls have posted you, drake, and well others...

+1 for not letting me down..

A viewpoint that opposes yours is not a troll.

The Mittani is clearly on a mission to convince CCP that there is a need for tech 3 mining barges with stronger armor and shields. Miners should be thanking him.

I have yet to hear a valid reason as to why the CSM 'shouldn't participate in ganking/scamming apart from the inherent 'waaaaaahhhhhh' in all of your posts.

They are an advisory council to CCP, not an in-game leadership/PR council.

Newsflash.

Mittani represents his constituents who happen to be goons.

Goons are a community independent of whatever game they happen to be playing, DAOC, SWG, WoW, STO, Second Life, EvE, they've been there and done the same ****.

http://www.wired.com/gaming/virtualworlds/magazine/16-02/mf_goons?currentPage=all

They do it for the lulz.

Sounds like another group which made headlines earlier this year.

And no I don't have another 10 bux.

That I scam, kill, and gank and conquer are all reasons why my constituents feel that I represent their viewpoints accurately, and voted for me in the first place.

As for my RL, I was once an attorney in DC, but I retired and moved to Wisconsin last year.

Ah so you admit that you are representing 'Your constituency' as in goons and not the eve player base. What you put forward, is everything your constituents want. They represent all the is bad for eve, scamming, manipulation everything else.

Tell me, how can you be the chair of the CSM (which is supposed to represent all players) when all you do is represent yourself and the needs of your alliance.

Do what you like in game, but you should not be abusing your position, and should be removed.

If any of you trust a politician, I don't know what to tell you. Try not to drown in a puddle of rain?

The luxury of my popularity is that I don't have to bother lying to my voters about who and what I am. You get exactly what you voted for: a manipulative sadist who makes no apologies for who or what he is. And that's the kind of leadership the CSM requires if it's to accomplish anything when dealing with CCP; already CSM6 has demonstrated that with its lengthy record of successes.

So you think abusing your position to scam people is ok then? When people see people like CSM tag or Chair of CSM sig they expect trust, infact they are getting scammed.

Its disgusting and totally wrong for the game.. and is not acceptable.

If you actually PAID ATTENTION to the **** that is getting proposed by the Mittani, it benefits *everyone*. Its almost entirely "hey, this **** is beyond broken, fix it", and not "we want: A, B, C."

Are you missing something here? Thats all well and good, but you should not be abusing your position and scamming people.

Are you now saying that you DO NOT represent eve players as the chair of the CSM? but only the goons?

Are you saying by the statement that infact the CSM should not be trusted? Because it sounds like that..

Each CSM member has put the needs of their constituents above needs of those who are not. The justification for this? You didn't vote for that CSM member because you felt they didn't represent you. Just because they were elected does not mean they suddenly have to represent you now. In addition to this, representing each individuals singular interests is virtually impossible. It's easier, more efficient, and to be fair basically politically correct to represent your constituents. You should find a CSM member that _does_ represent your interests, and then consider petitioning your concerns with them, as they're more likely to agree with you and they're probably at least partially responsible for your personal concerns.

Being the CSM chairman doesn't mean that you're bound to a more limited set of rules as a player than anyone else. It's EVE, he can abuse his title as much as he wants as long as he doesn't breach NDA (like Darius III did)

Yes of course. By building and maintaining a supercap fleet (derived from tech moons) and laughing at how you can run an ice denial campaign with funds derived from the tech moons.

In fact, I'm quite curious why you are now suddenly defending your pitiful role? You're on a self-prophesing and cheap ego trip. I know it, you know it. So why bother?

You even described yourself as "a manipulative bastard". It's much closer to the truth than even you realise and worse, your sheep don't even know it. The perfect ruse.....

You're full of it Mittens...

But it's a game after all yeah..... About ******* time you learned that it's not just yours.

How did the Mittani use his position as the chair of the CSM to abuse ppl? Can we get some proof of this abuse?

by your logic, democrats should support republicans and republicans should support democrats, oh, and america should ahve helped the soviet rebels take over greece in the cold war.

people will always advocate for what benefits them to some extent, and while he may advocate what he feels the goons want, that doesnt mean alot of people elsewhere dont support his decisions.

Also, if you think the CSm should be all carebear industrialist sissypants, why dont you run? im sure with your love and peace trustworthy leader of the public attitude you'll get THOUSANDS of people voting for you /sarcasm

So your saying the CSM DOES NOT represent the eve player base as a whole? Because if that is true then the CSM is a lie and should be disbanded immediately.

and if it does not, then how are all the players in eve being represented? they are not!!!

You have just made it clear that each CSM are just out to get whats best for their voters (in other words their alliance)

Because no one else voted for you. This makes the CSM even more of a joke then...

Every CSM represents their own constituents. Some have delusions about 'representing everyone'. I do not.

You clearly don't keep up with CSM issues; you got scammed for an Aeon or an Erebus or had your Mackinaw blown up (hopefully by me!) and are only just now waking up. But I've never made any bones about who I represent, or my view that (gasp) politicians represent their voters.

There are some folks in EVE - quite a lot, really - who have alarmingly naive views about democracy and politics. If you happen to be an American, I suggest going to your local Republican representative and asking him why he isn't implementing a Democratic policy point. After all, he represents 'everyone', right? Even those who vehemently oppose him?

Politics is about power and conflict. Some lie about it. I don't have to.

My constituents represent all that is good in EVE: grand warfare, violence, dystopia, power struggles, cleverness, cruelty and brilliance. If you think that chewing a cud while using a mining bot and shooting an Ice Belt is what EVE is, I'm happy that I helped awaken you to the real possibilities of New Eden.
