I'd rather have someone who knows what hes doing but disagrees with my opinions at the helm than some absolute moron with similar goals. anyone your average highsec pubbie would vote for would, in all likelihood, only understand a fraction of the game and have a tenacious at best grasp of it.

Quoted for perfectly cromulent use of the word tenacious.

The luxury of my popularity is that I don't have to bother lying to my voters about who and what I am. You get exactly what you voted for: a manipulative sadist who makes no apologies for who or what he is. And that's the kind of leadership the CSM requires if it's to accomplish anything when dealing with CCP; already CSM6 has demonstrated that with its lengthy record of successes.

Well to the OP I say "Welcome to the real world."

However, having preached for some years the truth of the economic slavery under which most of you peons exist
(due entirely to your ignorance and indifference for the most part I might add)
I must warn you that unless YOU DO SOMETHING TO UNITE THE WORKER'S OPPOSITION to said Overlords...

NOTHING WILL COME OF IT...

You are as they say "The sounding of brass cymbals in the wind.."

On the other hand organize, educate, motivate, and lead the proletariat masses to take up their hammers and scythes and...

SLIT THE THROATS OF THEIR MASTERS !

and maybe you will start something then...

Comrade Commisar, we have a small problem. The Mittani likens himself, in a fashion, to Stalin (while he quotes Karl Marx - which is quite disturbing).

In order for you to be as effective in the Rise of the Peasants, you too must also become Stalinesque....

But we need less pointless deaths. Not more.

Well that's no fun.

Edit: By which I mean, it's the distribution of pointless suffering that makes me unhappy. When the bears are pushed into a solid shape by relentlessly being slammed, maybe their tormentors could suffer some lol losses.

YOU are missing the point.

I voted for the mittani and if he scammed me out of my fortune and burnt all that I owned in this game to dust, i would vote for him once again and with more passion than the first time. I want someone in charge of the CSM who understands the game better than me, and by your whole point of view its clear you really really REALLY do not understand this game.

Phew, While reading this thread, for a second there, I thought the CSM ran CCP and EVE. Like they were the ones in power.
They are only advisers.

CCP really is dumb enough to not be able to tell when one of their advisers has a vested interest in a part of their world?

One is an alliance leader of one of the biggest alliances in game having a vested interest. The other is development decisions.

There's a bit of a difference.

You would?!

And what's with "we" came here - who do YOU represent? You mean "we" should think like you do? This merely proves that Darwinism in Eve is just a mere concept. Not a practise.

"I" came here to get away from players like "you" - I was told the Eve playerbase had a higher IQ than the average game!

Obviously not.

Darwinism doesn't exist in any setting controlled by sentient beings capable of manipulating their environment. In eve, people work to ruin each other. Thats very different from natural selection. Don't use words you don't understand around here, you'll get called out on it.

I voted for mittens, and I think he's doing a well enough job as a CSM member, which is why I voted for him in the first place. I don't have a problem with his in game machinations, its the right of any eve player to plot and scheme using any tools available to them. If he can use the CSM title to gain an in game advantage without breaking the terms of the CSM agreement, more power to him.

This thread pleases me.

I represent nullsec, hisec greifers, and anyone else who understands that EVE is a place for war and murder, not safety and weakness. As it happens, the voice of my constituents is far louder than the OP's cry for help; that is why I am the Chairman.

That I scam, kill, and gank and conquer are all reasons why my constituents feel that I represent their viewpoints accurately, and voted for me in the first place.

As for my RL, I was once an attorney in DC, but I retired and moved to Wisconsin last year.

Ah so you admit that you are representing 'Your constituency' as in goons and not the eve player base. What you put forward, is everything your constituents want. They represent all the is bad for eve, scamming, manipulation everything else.

Tell me, how can you be the chair of the CSM (which is supposed to represent all players) when all you do is represent yourself and the needs of your alliance.

Do what you like in game, but you should not be abusing your position, and should be removed.

Try for just one second to separate your in game activity from your real life.

In Game : You mine ice while the Mittani leads a bunch of chaotic trolls who murder, kill, steal and maim anyone they can for the lulz. You hate them and they hate you. Goons find this fun. You don't. We understand this.

Out Of game Alex G, who's online alter ego is The Mittani, sits on a player group that tries to influence the development of game rules to provide a better sandbox for us all to play in. Surprisingly, for such a Smug **** he actually does this quite well.

Alex doesn't seem to have a problem separating his CSM role from his In Game activities. You need to step back and see the difference as well.

Well, you really are a waste of space, aren't you?

I'm not a Goon or a Goon alt, but I have to ask, have you ever read anything about The Mittani and what he does on the CSM for the overall gaming experience of EVE Online? I'll bet the answer is no, you have not. Because if you had, you would come to the realization that you don't know what you are saying.

First and foremost The Mittani is an "ingame" toon. His place on the CSM has nothing to do with it. How many GM's and Dev's that work for CCP are pirates and scammers/griefers? If you bother to look it up, you will see that quite a few of them are. Should they be fired for playing the game the way they like to play? Or should they just play the game all squeaky clean like?

Secondly, The Mittani's role on the CSM is one of the reasons we are having a huge revamp of the sov mechanics in nullsec, and with a play balance of the super capitals. He is also the voice of us hisec miners that have been screaming for years about the friggin' bots that are truelly ruining the game for us. He also leads the war on RMT's.

If you would bother to look up who the real Mittani is, you would find that he is a professional that works in a nations capital. He is not going to jeapordize his real life with some crap from a computer game.

Its not the Mittani that has an issue with blurring the lines between reality and EVE Online. No, it is you. You think that because there are people that play this game with dark intentions that somehow in real life they are bad people.

I feel sorry for people like you. You guys get on the forums and scream for CCP to help or to ban or change the game mechanics, but you all fail to realize, sometimes in games you will loose, as in life. Thats how a sandbox game is meant to be played.

My apologies for the almost total repost, but that says everything I wanted to write. Op and friends are badly mistaken if you think The Mittani's CSM responsibilities are in any way compromised. Like him or not, he has spearheaded a hell of a lot more positive things for Eve than you and all your friends combined.

I suppose I am referring to the branch of Darwinism called "survival of the fittest". Poster I was referring to stated if he got scammed and burned to the ground he'd still vote for the doer of such evils Cool

I dislike goons for many different reasons that aren't really relevant atm but they play the sandbox mmo well and some people can't handle it. This is not wow. Please grow up or uninstall eve
