Yeah and how about some drone-ship model love for ships that are drone boats but have no discernable drone bay: Prophecy, Tristan, Vexor, Myrmidon, Dominix, Gila, Rattlesnake....I'm sure I forgot one ;)

Firstly, I keep seeing it everywhere so I thought I would ask, what does V3'd mean? Can someone please explain this to me.

And in answer to the OP: Leviathan is my favourite looking Titan. Plus it helps that it is also from my favourite race.

It's human nature to want to explore. To find your line and go beyond it. The only limit, is the one you set yourself.

Periodically, CCP updates the textures on the ships. This pass, which I'd assume is the third of its kind, is what is V3. You can find in the links I believe on page 2 of this thread an imgur gallery that shows a side-by-side comparison of the "old" Thanatos textures (the ones currently on TQ) and the new, fresh V3 one.

So .. When is the next patch ?:) I want to spin my Slowcat and watch.

Anyway ..just for a fast snake peak .. is there a plan to create a drone launching sequence ? I mean actually strating drones is like ... "farting" ;) but keep up the good work ..

P.S. And yes other Drone "farting" ships need force fields also :D and animations .. etc.. etc .. etc ..

I hope after the V3 is done .. you guys work on nice hit indications .. "shield , armor, struc hits" :)

Wow! That's pretty much what can be said about these new designs. You even made the obelisk look good. While I have to admit the Gallente capitals (especially the Moros) have a lot more defined colour areas (blocks of green and grey as opposed to fading) now, it does make them look a lot more solid than before. Caps look like the behemoths they should, rather than looking more fragile than the freighters did.

And the titans... Big smile What's your favourite?

Actually, CCP have done worse to the Curse.

Obviously, they're replacing any black with a colour-scheme inspired by Diarhroea.

After a quick consultation with Tub Girl, we both decided to love it and switch to Minmatar (she wouldn't let anything with that nasty coulour come close to her face or anus).

The way it caught the light was so easy on the eyes - That stuff was just beautiful.

maybe make the force fields a bit more transparent? You have high res textures in the hangars and ship openings with blinking lights and everything but you can barely see it through the shields. Also shouldn't the force field of the archon have the same color as on other amarr ships?

amarr station interior looks a bit low res. Its like you mixed very high detailed stuff with old, low res stuff which makes it look strange compared to the other hangars (its also the largest which makes texture resolution more noticeable). Maybe it isn't finished yet?

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

In either case and IMAO it needs more bling - i.e. looks really close to its T1 counterpart.

And on a related note, when can someone take this here money from me in exchange for allowing me to pimp a ship with sexy iridescent space camo?

Why does the Avatar have a white forcefield in its mouth rather than the yellow one? I think the yellow one matched it much better.

I am actually a little bit disappointed of the hangars Amarr, minmatar and of course gallente .. because the hangars of the Wyfern looks amazing with all these details, numbering, and view lounges .. but only the other carriers has only force fields and internally some blinky lines.


common CCP 3D guys you can do it better. Look at the hangars of the gallente destroyer Algor... that looks like a hangar.

It's not just the textures. They've also updated the models to have more detailed geometry. On top of that the new versions are scalable with modern (bump mapping) and future (tesselation) graphic rendering tech. They've also said the new models have the capability to use more complex lighting engines, so we can have fancy things like an explosion hitting the hull and lighting it up, casting shadows to nearby ships.
