You have no friends, you are running L4's in a one man corp that you might flesh out with your alts. You would like the rules that govern real life to disappear here because you're in a game world and that should allow you to be whatever you want to be right? Wrong, part of the thrill of Eve is that it functions very much like the real world and real world skills are needed if you want to survive and then prosper.

- This is another common “EvE elitist” quote on why EvE is so great. EvE doesn’t resemble real life, it’s just complicated like real life is. If griefers and flat-out murderers (you can kill a person’s pod in EvE, effectively killing their character) were given the same punishments as griefers and murderers in the real world, EvE would actually be a much better place and weed out all of the assholes like this guy. How about we ban characters’ accounts for life for murdering another character? Or would that then be too real world for you? Simply put, EvE is great for griefers and scammers because they’re unregulated, EXACTLY UNLIKE the real world.

EvE isn't anything like the real world. A game isn't about the real world. If it was we'd actually have a real police force in EvE, a jail for those awaiting trial, and an execution house for the condemned waiting to be executed.

So the scammers; drug sellers and murderers in EvE don't face real world consequences. Why? EvE is just a game.

5- Spare yourself and myself the time to write/read stupid comments like GTFO etc etc because it was nice knowing a "GAME" called EVE for the past 7 months

Basically keeping the 30% happy on the account of ruining the "GAME" for the 70% is something normal around here

Yeah, regrettably and the saddest part is there is a bandwagon of "tough kids" which you see on the forums that will jump to that.

In a sane universe you'd realize yo're playing the wrong "game" (and that all "games" aren't equal) and GB2WoW.

Sadly for us, the Universe itself is Insane, so you'll probably stay for years campaigning to ccp to change EVE to be more like what you're used to, with lame "raiding" and crap like that..

I don't campaign for EvE to change so much for me, but what's best for everyone. Like I've done in other games.

When I was posting on the other game forums I met so many people like you. So full of yourselves, so sure of yourselves. If not so self-entitled, demanding on issues that either are game breaking or inpractical (e.g., cost too much; takes too many resources; bad for the community).

But sure enough when the devs impliments the changes/improvements that many like me have suggested, guess what happened? Not only were they popular, the features are really liked.

Why?

Because it's fun. Because it's different. Because it's inclusive.

So do a roach dance. Scream. Belittle. You're not the first and sadly won't be the last. But it doesn't matter, as you're a gadfly in the scheme of things.

In the USMC they have a saying and it goes like this: "Either be a leader; a follower; or get the hell out of the way".

Such unbelievable hubris, especially when considering the very next sentence:

So everyone else is wrong and you're simply the Oracle of game design.

If that were true, why are you MAKING games?

The real truth is you think you know whats best for everyone. That doesn't make you a genius, it makes you a presumptuous *insert words that will get Jenn a Side banned from EVe Online for life*

TO YOU. It's what you types never get. If we wanted to have fun like you, we'd play games (WoW) like you.

We like EVE like games.
