Thanks for bumping the thread Ms Sadkurk, your help in keeping the thread at the top is greatly appreciated even if your input is a little.... underwhelming, although I do agree I could have written things better the intention really here is to try and get the community talking very much about, how Calypso so eloquently put it:

"more game, in our MMO game"

Yes, being on topic and catching you at trying to re-spin your post i guess is.....underwhelming? (probably better look up the definition of that word because you're using it wrong).

As i mentioned earlier you dont want more game, you want things dished out to you on a silver platter with no effort or consequence, I go to bed tonight knowing that no matter how many months you bump this sad, thread CCP isn't going to put in place such trash ideas, i do look forward to 6 more months of your pathetic attempts to keep this necro-thread humping along though.

And if im a Ms, i guess it's okay to call you out as a tranny?

Yawn,  I'm right as usual. The predictability kinda gets boring really.

So what is left of the idea? I watched some videos how the economy will work in Star Citizen and what NPC's will do in the game. I don't want to ask for NPC's in EVE who will transport good from A to B, but some immersion is still missing..

More randomized content would be good, I think. The randomly changing connections in W-Space are a lot of fun and modular missions and stuff would rain acid on the bot-parade, which I heartily endorse.

I'm skeptical if this can be implemented before CCP finds a way to migrate to a better server-structure, though. Hopefully CCP will do something about this. PVE in Eve is really, really boring and even small changes can only be good.

I like your ideas regarding npc interaction and content,
I also like the comments where these interactions can bring players together without shooting each other.
PVP players have come to the conclusion that is eve is meant for them /us only and anyone else is mistaken, and they/we will shoot, cheat or scam them to prove their /our point.
Sorry guys pvpers may be loud, you / we may be obnoxious, (and proud of it) but you are not actually right.
Sure PVP is a massive part of eve, it has also lost as many new players as it has kept.

There are many players who actually want to do other things, they do not need protecting or cosseting, and eve deliberately makes the choice not to, that is also a big part of its appeal.
They are bored. The sandbox is short of sand, yes player interaction is great, it has done amazing things, but there is room for much much more.
More npc interaction if done well is an unreservedly good idea, it will bring new players into the game and more importantly keep them. i imagine that like most companies in this industry it costs more to recruit new players than any other part of their budget,
Get new players staying, and the extra funds pay for development time to pay for the fixes and improvements the basic game needs to continue and improve.
And hey even in the worst case there will be more opportunities to PvP

All players should support this idea fully, it seems that it would take more resource time away from the fixes we all know need to be sorted, but without new income and for that matter new blood the game will just end up bought by sony or someone similar and guess what happens to PVP then.

Eve has room for every style of play it is not a zero sum game both can win.

Even a layman game desginer can figure that rebalancing and fixing isn't much more than typing numbers into boxes and seeing how it plays out. No matter how much conceptual work and testing the rebalancing team does there's no way it takes as much rescources and time as coming up with new content. As a long time player I think that content released has kinda died off a little the last expansions, oddysey was just the navy battlecruisers and the crappy hacking minigame.

It seems like CCP is just shoving all this rebalancing our way telling us they care about this game and at the same time use all the manpower they've freed up to focus on their other games, which I'm not too happy about. This isn't likely to change either, with world of darkness, dust and valkyrie to manage at the same time I'm worried CCP wont be able to release content for the game at the same pace as in the past and since eve is their main game losing players here would put CCP in a pretty dangerous position, with 4 MMO's to manage at the same time and fundings dropping.

Enough with the off-topic stuff anyway, brilliant thread and hope CCP ytterbium will have a look at some of this since he's been going on with NPC AI revamps for a while now.

Supported. Bring the NPC world in EVE to life again.
Player driven content yes, but make the background lore for the universe feel more interesting and add more random elements.

- I always wondered why we don't have rare NPC Carrier (not the haulers) or Dreadnought spawns (these could be new officers)
- Have Navy Faction NPC spawns or known commanders.

I would love to see more stuff like this in the game. The regular missions, mining, ratting, etc can get really repetitive.

It could be cool to say, hunt down convoys of NPC carrying valuable goods between systems. PVP could spring up as other players compete for the goods in the convoy.

Maybe players could get a mission to escort NPCs through an area, there would a chance other players could see them and attack.

I like the idea of more immersion into the game, EvE is a sandbox game which means that some want to PVE and thats fine, some want to PVP and thats great as well. But EvE is a game set in a universe of warring empires and pirates, and I think that having stuff going on in the game is a good idea, even if its in the background for some the fact its there will bring alot of life to the universe!

This is one of the hardest lessons for humans to learn. We cannot admit that things might be neither good nor evil, neither cruel nor kind, but simply callous – indifferent to all suffering, lacking all purpose.

Some good ideas on improving the bland content we already have instead of added more crap like player built stargates.
