You can't do that while cloaked

I have run into the error a lot more often lately while flying through gates and activating cloak.

It used to be, I would JUMP -> Select desto from over view -> click the align, warp or jump button from selected item -> press f1 to cloak.

My ship would align and cloak with no hiccups.

Now, quite often, every other gate or more, i will watch my ship start to move and hit the f1 key, but get the message "you can't do that while cloaked" or whatever it says.

I lost a crane on my alt about a week ago to this. After I got the message i immediately hit the cloak again but i had already been targeted ( how can i be targeted if the game thinks i'm still cloaked? i petitioned the loss but have not heard anything back)


Is there new cool down time? Is the server being slow? I recently upgraded to a new computer back in December with faster processor and 4x the ram so it's hard to think its my computer being slow. Is this a glitch? This makes using a crane nearly pointless if i can't cloak until i'm in warp..

Sounds like a client de-sync.

Keep in mind that EVE only processes actions once a second.

I recommend waiting until you actually see your velocity change before cloaking.

You know, since the last patch, I've noticed this as well

Seems to be more delay between client and server than before

this is lag, lag lag, many issue arose due to this, and this one is just one among many other, like ship not pointed while they are reported as such, by a heavy dictor, fleet warp not working, or working for half the fleet etc

UPDATE: CCP says this is business as usual and I was denied my petition to get my stuff back.

So from now on, you will have to wait a bit longer to hit the cloak and just hope you dont get insta locked
