It's now about the Engineers, who wound up being wildly uninteresting dicks at the end of PROMETHEUS.

Quote of the article.

CCP take note, this is how I picture the surviving Jove.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Hm.. I hoped that one of the reasons to the delay was that the first movie was ****.

Not entirely ****, just... fragmented.

I was confused the entire time, thinking:

"How do you know this?" and: "Why are you doing that?"

I felt like I was watching something unfinished, a first draft, if you will.

...

And yeah, nowadays something is only "right" when it generates oodles of cash.
This means catering to the current ADD generation.

The few people who still like to engage their brains every now and then (be it watching movies, or playing games) are left in the cold. Sad

"Prometheus" was like I said, a whole lot of good mixed with a whole lot of silly (would that biologist seriously have been 'playful' with the infamous space-cobra in real life ? I think not).

Hey check it out .. breathable oxygen is flowing out of some random hole in some random alien craft/structure on this random alien planet. We should totally remove our helmets now because in the last few seconds we can clearly chaulk this off as being perfectly safe!

Heh. I literally facepalmed seeing that. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING???"

The whole crew is an unlikely bunch from the start and escalates into something... bizarre.

Also put me in the tiny "I liked Alien 3" camp.

Besides the horribad CGI, the amazingly stupid ending sequences and also the curiously long gestation period for important characters I thought it was pretty awesome.

Sleek and speedy quadriped alien is much scarier than the human style alien.

Its all about muses.

Sex is a muse that always gives good ideas, and if the muses fail, Young people make up for them.

Humans are always afraid of torture so the horror muse is always giving and never runs dry.

Luckily Car companies keep making cool looking cars, and once again young people, strong muses there.

Aliens is sometimes a strong muse. Hopefully they just redo space odyssey 2001, where an alien goes through stuff unemotionally with bright colors and randomly kills someone from time to time, then it finally ends up becoming a space baby alien, that just lives to watch over all of us. Also a naked albino engineer hovers over it continually.

Hmmm... Hollywood and an original idea... I'm seeing an oxymoron somewhere in there...

Do not ever type that statement again.

Don't give Hollywood ideas like that, m'kay ?

Maybe we should have Hollywood do "The Cold Equations"?

Sure, it's a contrived situation with a number of valid posibilities for alternate solutions hand-waved away, but that's what Hollywood specializes in. Of course, you'd need to do this purely on character development, as there's no action whatsoever, but one of the few smart directors out ther should be able to handle this.

Who to direct it..? Ken Branagh? Nimoy? Is there an heir to Louis Malle out there?

Michael Bey? Twisted

Alphonso Cuaron. He has a rather dim view of humanity's fate.
