Webcams.

Everyone who flies a barge must have an active webcam on, trained at their keyboard. No hands in view, barge asplodes.
Lol

A camera pointed at my keyboard? No.

A camera pointed at my crotch? Now things are getting interesting.

No one wants to see that asplosion! Shocked

OP is a botter and he wants to steal CCP's "thunder" with fake, stupid ideas. Cool

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

How about no. It would be a pain for players and easy for bots.

First off if a bot can target an asteroid it can target a rat, secondly if I am am in a corporate war and get jumped in while mining I certainly don't want to lose a ship because your random captcha jumped onto my screen stopping me doing anything until I typed the right line.

Two of the defining characteristics of a carebear are wanting other players to play the way the carebear wants and whining on the forums for the game to change when they don't. Yet I see more threads on these forums from gankers than I do miners whining about wanting the game changed to suit them.

This would actually have no effect whatsoever on bots mining. When I mine with hulks, I just fit a tank on each one, and... TANK THE RATS. That's right, you don't actually need to kill them, and if they are a weak spawn, it's often better not to. Thus, bots would just make sure they had decent tanks, and that their scripts warped them off as soon as hostiles came into local, and nothing would change.

Sorry to burst your bubble.

Solution: when mining , have a random question pop up every 10 minutes , something that is not answerable by a bot but easy for a player.

Failure to answer or giving wrong answer induces removal of Boot.ini :thiscanonlygowell.jpeg:

Why no one mentioned these guys yet? They're actively killing the AFK botters Big smile.
Join them if you want to. They do take action against AFK miners and botters.

Yes, the solution to bots is to annoy the crap out of players.

Another solution would be to increase CONCORD's reaction time in highsec so that a ganker could kill and escape before being destroyed.... that way people at the keyboard would react the way that they currently react and bots / AFKers would be popped. CONCORD protects AFKers and bots.

Of course, is this a good thing or not is an entirely different matter.

We already have them. Seems untanked retrievers are the in thing right now and they are oh so profitable to pop. No we simply want the mack to be balanced correctly with the other barges.

If you added the possibility to escape concord and more time before they respond, people would fit a scram kill you and run away every time unless they messed up the dps calculation.

It was mentioned. You just didn't look.

I do like how you mentioned fighting bots and "sweet tears" in the same post as bots do not cry. They are programs.

So can we stop pretending that the order fights bots now?

The very sun of heaven seemed distorted when viewed through the polarising miasma welling out from this sea-soaked perversion, and twisted menace and suspense lurked leeringly in those crazily elusive angles of carven rock where a second glance shewed concavity after the first shewed convexity.

Report suspected botters to CCP.

They will deal with the reports, or not, as they see fit.

I suppose if you never use the market with the exception of NPC seeded items this would be the case, but how you could realistically manage this I'm not sure.
