From what I've gleaned so far it's some kind of MMO FPS that's linked with EVE Online, and that planetary battles started by EVE players are resolved via battles by Dust players, or something like that. I personally have no clue. Would anyone be willing to enlighten a fresh-from-the-academy greenhorn like myself?

Im in the beta on PS3.
Its like an FPS thats tied to the eve universe where you can work for corps and battle for contracts etc.
Its pretty much just an EVE themed FPS with some crossover.
