It's gonna be tough to get into any FW faction and FC straight away.

Once people know and trust you - won't be a problem.

Make sure your up to date with the changes to pvp the frigate and cruiser balancing has brought about.

Amarr are one of the nice factions tbh.
If you think they were assholes you should maybe avoid Caldari. We are total pricks.

Believe me when I say that I know how the flow of militias goes, and how you have to earn the trust of the folks in them... Its just frustrating to have to go through it all over again but thats what I get for taking a hiatus.

You guys have gotta stop wishing you were in my corp.

XGal and Chatgris were fighting over how awesome they are in the last thread I was reading.

I'm relatively new blood in terms of QCats, but yea. We're still alive and well. :)

Look forward to seeing you on field regardless of which militia you join, seem like a cool guy.

So,

I am an old school FC looking to get the rust blown clean off my shoulders from a 2 year hiatus. I would like to join the militia that is in need of most help, and it seems to be the Amarr. I would like to now a few things:

1- Is the Amarr indeed the militia currently worse off?
2- Do they NEED FC's?
3- Where is the staging system typically used?

Thanks all!

1) Amarr morale is high and we're not fail cascading. Having said that we are significantly outnumbered and have a weak EU TZ presence.

2) EU TZ FC's are in very short supply.

3) Kamela, Sahtogas, and Siseide are the main strongholds.

lol. you said stronhold(s)...

Amarr has the most progress to be made, so if you're looking for someone backed into a corner, then that's the militia for you.

Did it get any better since you joined In Exile? I was also greeted by assholes in the Militia channel (which I now mostly ignore), but things got a lot better when I joined a corp and started to deal with other organized corps.

Concerning your desire to FC, I'm pretty sure most In Exile members would be more than happy to join you if you call a fleet when things are getting quiet. Members of the other big corps in the area (Fweddit and others) would probably be happy to join as well once they recognize your name, since we often fly with them.

In Exile. is a great Corp with great people. In my few days with the Amarr militia I see things have changed dramatically since I last was here. In the US TZ the Amarr seem to have it down packed with FCs, and overall dominance as we seemed to be fighting pirates more then the Minnie militia in this TZ.

Heres my question- Which militia is in need of FCs in the USTZ, and/or are there any FW pvp Corporations out there looking for an FC to help show their pilots a good time, and get some kills? I dont care what militia it is, if I can fly with some cool people, and get an opportunity to dust my shoulders off/ show my stuff I'll be happy.

Thanks everyone!

I had the opposite experience yesterday with my week old alt who had been in the militia for 12h. Hopped into a fleet, got on comms, helped pop a couple billion in pirate ships. Had a great time with some fun people!

Only shot one minni militia ship the whole time and for WZ control of course it did nothing, but it was lots of fun. Big smile

I'm amazed you can say that with a straight face. The map is almost ENTIRELY red (ie, Minmatar). I think the numbers argument is lame; the problem is lack of leadership and gangs that aren't seriously fail. And yes, I have an alt currently in the 24th doing offensive plexing in Minnie space.

You must not be keeping up with current affairs. A militia can dominate space and get ten times as many mails as the enemy, yet have close to zero systems. Territorial control is entirely determined by which side the locust swarm of farmers is currently nesting in .. recent Amarr drop from ~40 systems to 7 happened in about three weeks with no decrease in general activity or mail generation.

That is what we hapless few have been trying to make people understand since LP-for-everything was presented at that fateful FF and more are joining out struggle with each passing day as the current state of affairs is evidently .. how to put it mildly: lacking. PvE controlling PvP just doesn't work, unless the goal is to turn PvP'ers into PvE'ers.

That answer the OP as well. There are no underdogs per se as the locusts rotate their crops like proper educated farmers. Look around the militias, talk to folks, investigate the TZ splits and decide if a given group is FC'able when you are available .. both fronts have several systems that can have non-stop action and all militias have good pilots (and utterly horrible, YMMV Smile).

I understand. I just hope you saved your LP for these times ahead. As navy geddon prices inflate, the dynamic of the current FW shouldnt seem so bad.

I don't know what your standings are with the Minmatar after being in both the Caldari and Amarr militias but as far as I can tell, there's a marked lack of good FCs many days during US primetime. I can only think of about 5-6 good FCs I've flown with since joining up and as you can imagine, that's not really enough to cover all the bases.

If you're worried about the inevitable spai accusations, I've had great experiences with newer pilots. We tend not to be all embittered and suspicious yet. P Not sure if that interests you but it certainly helps get past the initial distrust phase.

Fail cascade is when there are only 38 pilots in your militia channel. I've been there for that. And that is not the case now. Amarr is very strong in the US TZ. It is well led in the US TZ. We need more people and organization in the Euro TZ.

i was there when there were only 9. the good news is that when #'s are that low, you're talking about people that want to be there.

we may lose every system, but minnies will still be shot regardless, and survivors will still be shot again.

This is the underlying reason why they are losing the warzone. Minmatar have huge numbers of plexers in their ranks.

This is bullshit that gets trotted out by the Amarr (and, to a much lesser extent, some Caldari) whenever they're losing hard at WZ control. .

And the gallente when they lost space. It gets trotted out because its true. FW sov never was about pvp.

The minmatar just whined that they couldn't get lp after they farmed all the systems, but hans fixed that for them. P

Milton Middleson wrote:

There is certainly no shortage of Amarr miltia members plexing, nor is there a lack of Minmatar corps that are apathetic to the state of the warzone beyond their immediate backyard. .

Actually if amarr had just as many plexers they would be doing better in the sov war. Its not like minmatar are so good the timers run faster. You just have a much larger number of farmers.

Milton Middleson wrote:

Plexing near a major militia hub is a pretty solid way to get a small fight, and there is a substantial overlap between top killers and top VP scorers. .

Surely you are kidding. Look at the daily top vp gainers and then look at their killboards for that day.
