Yet again CCP have shown a distinct lack of professionalism in dealing with so-called "conflict of interests" within their own game. To have developers mainipulate the game in order to have one faction gain an advantage over another is just not the way forward. No other mature, proffesional organisation would allow this to occur. If it did, it would be known as a corrupt organisation.

CCP.....sort yourselves out! Grow up!

So, whining about the Luminaire titan loss, I presume.
You are of course aware that Gallente players had no ability to stop it from arriving in the first place? Is it okay for one side to be able to do things without player intervention, but not the other?

CCP's live events team do a fantastic job.

It was a 1/2 assed job at best.

If there were 2 possible results depending on who won the most battles - then many opinions would be different.
Having a predetermined outcome in a sandbox game is not good or doing a 'fantastic job'.

i agree the story was half assed the system shouldnt have been capped how it was either. The titan and other caps should have been wartargets to each other and stargates set to only allow military personel in (militia) and let the factions fight it out with the actors imo. Also the sec of system should have dropped when concord switched off allowing us to jump caps in to make it a nice royal rumble and a good spectacle for all including the dust payers who could watch what eves really about.

Im not a Rper but and didnt go but if it was set kinda how iv just described i probably woulda and commited a cap ship or 2 just to make it a good show

Unfortunately CCP chatgris loves flying both. Sad

OK, now that's insulting.

Sure, the Corax is decent, but a Griffin? Nothing says "I don't want to fight" like a griffin. I only think I've been in a griffin one or two times in my entire eve career, ECM is such a broken mechanic.

Good lord. Some of these caldari pilots are dumber than dumb. Just another lolz thread to add to the Comedy Militia.

CCP is still best group of trolls around here. High five!

The Tinfoil is strong here. But, as an Amarr RP'er, I do feel the slight bias, storyline-wise. I'm getting a little sick of seeing my peoples being whitewashed as the archetypal villians (alongside the Caldari), and while EA and T1 did a lot to nuance the stereotype (Jamyl is awesome), it is becoming quite apparent that the Gallente and Minmatar are fast becoming the "good guys."

EVE is a muddy, dark and gritty universe, where the distinction between good and evil is a lie. It shouldn't be so archetypal, and I sincerely hope CCP is only beginning the overtures of change, that the wave of good guy propaganda is merely a fluke and not the hallmark of a future trend.

You probably missed a few live events. Like the one concerning a bunch of wannabe terrorist / transparency international types who sleep-gased a FIO station in Cat in search of illegal weapons development. Later, lot of their Gallente capsuleer helpers were shot to smithereens by a force of FIO Navy Megathrons and the "evidence" disappeared again.

I was there, although I left the fleet after the gasing refusing to help "terrorists" and shoot at my friends in FIO.

On the other hand, there are some good guys on the other side, at least Caldari.

Amarr? OK, not so much. But it's hard to look for silver lining in a bunch of religious fanatics who enslave whole races and casually commit genocide.

But if you are a real roleplayer, there should be no problem adapting the role whatever the archetype of your race is. After all, sometimes it's awesome to see hard-ass Amarr religious fanatic whipping his slaves in the name of God, when there are so many "special people" who are atheist Amarr, reformed Caldari, Gallente bigots and Minmatar gentlemen.

If you look at a majority of my forum posts, you will see that I do not complain very often.
TBH - I'm one of the most chilled out people that play this game - however the Hookbill nerf is really out of place and CCP are really giving a lot of traction to some peoples claims of bias.

I have avoided the entire argument for a long time but I can guarantee if you had as much of the gear/ships you trained specifically for nerfed in the last year as I have - you might be getting a bit sick off it and complain occasionally too.

I pay my subscription fees just like everyone else and can have the odd whinge if i feel like it.

Big smile

The only point in this thread which has any merit is that the Titan event was scripted - Which is was.

The problem with the Titan event being scripted? That they marketed it as a "You get to shape events" live event, when it clearly wasn't.

Thats a valid criticism which should be directly address to CCP and have an official response on - Anything else is just speculation.

It was just a publicity stunt. It also had to end with a crashed titan on the caldari prime map. This is to project some greater context into the dust world with a spectacle of a burning ship in the sky-box.

I dont endorse it, i see dust as a failure off the bat. From the shoe-horned arbitrary and inconsistent consequences in FW space to the concept simply being broken and dusts potential further compromised by the constant and rapid cycling of newer and greater fps on the consoles (well as far as console kiddies are concerned, personally i cant play fps with a pad).

Good luck to CCP, cant say ill ever play an FPS on a console. I just hope they havent got too much riding on dust since its rapid and complete failure seems inevitable to me.

You should leave those dirty, insulting Gallente scum and join Caldari. Smile

Are the kitey damping ships Gallente use saying 'I wanna fight?'

Dust is not bad with Key/Mouse. Ditch the noobtroller and give it another go and you might be surprised.

Theres only one game i will be buying a console for, and it starts with Grand Theft Auto, ends in whatever.

As far as dust is concerned, i play Planetside 2. From what ive seen, dust doesnt have a patch on PS2's epicness or intensity. Its almost an insult to PS2 to compare the 2. Planetside 2 as a game doesnt have the arrogance of dust either. Everyone knows that it will run its course and Planetside 3 will come in its place. The entire concept of Dust is a flawed brainfart.

Expecting dust to last 6 months given its half arsed scope, gameplay and graphics is optimistic, expecting it to last alongside eve is just ignorant. Unless dusts failure spells eves failure also. We all know CCP, expecting them to keep up with their own objectives is wishful, expecting them to keep up with better funded, skilled, established and focussed FPS makers is just irrational.

I've considered it a few times when things were really slow, but the Caldari militia is just so full of constant drama. Plus, I'm a closet individual freedoms and liberty RPer :( And I've been here so long and built up so many connections, no point in leaving.

However, if they ever lock a faction into flying its own ships, I'll be the hell out of Gal mil for sure!

More so than ECM, at least if you catch up to one you can scram it, lock it and shoot it. (Note: I don't fly these either). Or, if you already have something scrammed and webbed you can keep shooting it while damped.
